My self-summary
I'm a fairly laid-back guy but also motivated and passionate about those I care about and beliefs that I care about. I spent the last year in London getting my MA and traveling is one of my favorite things (I speak some Russian and German when needed to get around). I grew up with dogs so I guess that makes me a "dog person". I don't have anything against cats but let's just say I'm much more likely to lean down and say hello to a random dog on the street than a random cat.

Being at the beach is one of my all time favorite things all year round (just don't ask me to lay on a towel the whole time, there's more to do!). I grew up spending summers at the beach but I find it equally pleasant to have the place to yourself in the winter where you can enjoy the scenery without worrying you're about to accidentally step in some unlucky kid's sandcastle.

If I say I'm an "active" person then I'd be like everyone out here minus the 500 hobbies everyone seems to have. I'll put it this way- I hate doing nothing in a day, I walk to work every day year round and like to kayak most of the year. Once it's warm enough for a t-shirt I play on a few club softball and kickball teams and sometimes like to golf after work. On weekends take out my kayak or rent a sailboat for a few hours. In general if someone has an activity they want to try I'll give it a shot!

On low key days I am equally happy sitting in a pub with good Irish music as I am staying in to watch an old James Bond movie with some wine. Like everyone, I have my quirks. It would nice to find someone who likes me for those little quirks and not despite them.

Other useful information about me and what I'm looking for should include the following:

-Family is always first when it counts

-I'm always on time

- I find almost everything funny, keeping a straight face is not one of my talents even with off color material (if you like Family Guy or the League you'll be fine)

- I'm not into the club scene but I'm happy to go out with you and your friends ( I just hate waiting in line to wait in another line to pay $15 for a beer, no place is that cool)

-Like everyone, I have my quirks. It would nice to find someone who likes me for those little quirks and not despite them.
