I'm new to Ridgeland, from Toronto, Ontario. Looking to meet new friends. I am "talking" to someone, so I'm not here for dating or anything like that. I'd just like to meet some new people in the area.

Let's see, to answer the question that seems to be the most popular: Toronto to Mississippi? Well, I made the classic mistake right out of college and became a "work-a-holic." That left very little time for a life or interaction with anyone. I took an extended leave from work to slow things down a bit and I have family here.

I'm extremely liberal and non-judgmental. I'm not a fan of the normal drama that is associated in the stereotypical circles.

I say exactly what's on my mind and that can be difficult for some. Now, that doesn't mean that I'm a mean person. I'm just pretty upfront. So, if communication isn't your strong suite, we might not get along too well. ;)

I have been single for about 2 years now, after ending a 4 year relationship with someone that I once loved. I recently met someone that I'm currently talking to with the understanding that we aren't seeing other people, so it's all very new to me. :)

Oh, and while we are on this subject, let me be pretty open about another thing. I'm bruised but not broken. Meaning, I am very cautious and distrusting at times, based on past experiences. I like to have solid foundations of what things may or may not come. If I start something with someone as a friend, that's all it will ever be. I DO NOT do random sex and frankly it just doesn't do anything for me. I'm very set in what I want and it's not that much really.

With this said, expect me to be pretty vocal about things.

I am mirthful, precocious, and real

I've been in senior management with a very large organization for the past 5 years and now I'm taking a break from all the responsibility for awhile to get a grip on the things that I have missed. Over the course of time, I lost most of my social life and forgot how to have fun.

I'm working really hard to get that back now and taking it easy on the work scene. I'm still working, just in a much different industry that gives me much more free time. Another huge change was moving to Mississippi. I'm a very big city kinda guy and adjusting to the change has been interesting, but fun as well.

I am very content with the things that I have in my life and do not really find myself wishing that I had this or that, in the way of material things. I know what I can do and where I have been, and that makes me happy.

Um, I'm really good at listening and being dependable. I am an avid computer programmer (by hobby) and love to dance with the occasion presents itself.

People tell me that I can be the life of the party and am generally funny.

People usually comment about my eyes or my sense of humor.

I say what comes to mind and generally don't live my life to impress or satisfy others. I feel that too many people walk around to the beat of the same drum.

I LOVE James Patterson! I've read just about every book he's written. I also read Koontz and King. Anything that can keep my attention and paint that mental picture for me will work just fine.

The Lord of the Ring series and Harry Potter are also high on my list.

I'm a huge nut for multi-cultural foods and trying something new. I grew up in French Canada and have a love for "Mom and Pop" restaurants. You just get so much culture while eating there. It's amazing to me.

As far as music goes, I'm eclectic and love just about everything there is. I associate much of life with music and lyrics. For instance, the song that best describes the ending (last year) of my prior relationship would be Rhiana - "Take a Bow."

Hmm, movies, you say.... Let's see, I like action, drama and comedy. Any mix of the three is great to me.

3) Music.
4) Cigarettes (Yes, I smoke, and?)
5) My Friends.
6) Cell Phone.

I spend a lot of time thinking about the future and what I want with it. I'm pretty sure that I have it all figured out, for what that's worth. I think a lot about meeting someone and having some form of substantial relationship.

I tend to think about my career a bit too (imagine that.) I'm just bound and determined to reach my goals and not to settle for anything less than that.

It all depends on my mood. I can be found at home on the sofa watching TV with a drink or Ben & Jerry's. Or, you might find me dancing the night away at the club (this isn't as common.)

Sometimes, I may just opt for a nice dinner out and maybe even a movie.

I'm a hopeless romantic. Yeah, there, I said it, let's see how fast you can close my profile. :)

Let's see.... Oh yeah, I'm pretty good at hiding my emotions but underneath it all is a pretty bruised heart that loathes to love and be loved, but is very scared.
