What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Hi there! Moved here recently after finishing my MBA at UPenn. I work at a large technology firm and really love it. I'm generally very active and sporty (e.g. hiking, running, spinning, cycling, scuba diving, tennis, surfing, skiing, etc) and love being outdoors in nature. I find life fascinating and exciting and try to surround myself with smart, funny, witty, genuine, supportive and kind people.

I'm big into international travel and love adventure destinations (think safariing in South Africa/Botswana and Great Barrier Reef diving in Australia). I definitely very social, chatty, and extroverted and spend WAY too long getting lost in wikipedia articles and NYT articles.

I'm definitely a bit of a nerd at heart (I'm killer at Duck Hunt and Mario Kart) and think kindness and thoughtfulness are underrated qualities.

I'd love to meet someone who is fun, educated but also has a good sense of who they are, what they need and are supportive and loving towards my feelings, needs and goals. When I look at my friends who have really strong and awesome relationships that always seems to be the consistent thread - the fact that they can really communicate with their partners and feel super connected and loved.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sarcasm and baking pies. Sometimes doing both at the same time. Also, really like laughing and being polite (I'm, you know)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Alchemist, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Confederacy of Dunces is great.

TV: Arrested Development, Homeland, Downton Abbey, New Girl, Battlestar Galactica, HIMYM, Planet Earth.

Mags: The Economist, Foreign Affairs Magazine, Women's Health and recently The New Yorker.

Shows: Love theatre/ballet...use to be an actress in my previous/much younger life.

Food: everything (except Chinese food)..

Movies: The Big Lebowski, Lord of the Rings then maybe Shawshank?

Music: I pretty much love all types of music except electronic. I love going to concerts and music festivals. My favourite instrument is the piano and I wish I could play it well.

Podcast: Dan Savage...every week.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
No particular order...
1. My legs and eyes (I love doing anything active and in nature: skiing, hiking, tennis, long distance running, scuba diving, rock climbing, spinning, rugby, yoga, looking at trees and flowers, you name it) and I would imagine it would be difficult to do these without my legs and eyes. I also recently got back into dance (which I did for many years when I was young).

2. My family (I speak to them everyday and have never EVER missed a chance to throw them a surprise party).

3. Technology (to facilitate keeping in touch with I use to work at 2 large tech firms so I kinda like the tech stuff)

4. Food and wine. Wait...and coffee.

5. Friends (I'm pretty good at keeping in touch with friends both near and far and feel really grateful to have great friends that I'm super close with). My best friend is the same girl I was best friends with since I was 4 - although these days I feel like she is more of a sister than a friend. Its really important to me that I get along with my partner's friends and vice versa.

6...Geez, I'll tell you once thing: I could totally do without this okcupid question...geez....SIX things?! I'm grateful for 1M things but that doesn't mean I feel like listing them...
Oh, I just thought of #6: international traveling (I've been lucky to do a ton of it). I have visited almost all the continents and love exploring weird and wonderful cities. I also love art, design and history particularly when I travel.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
why hot dog buns come in packs of 12 but hot dogs come in packs of 8. Think about it. I know right?!

I also like politics, current affairs, The Maple Leafs.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out with people. The thing that I like most about life is people. I'm really looking for someone that wants not just a partner but a partner in crime - someone to go on a lifetime of adventure with. To share our friends, family, laughs, travel and loves together (though as I have been told from previous bf: I am NOT a stage 5 Clinger so I have no problem with being independent and hanging out with my friends while my S.O. hangs out with their friends - sometimes a little time away is healthy).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My mom PVRs Judge Judy for me and when I go back home to Toronto we have marathon viewing sessions (also grandmothers LOVE me bc we bond over our love of jj). Don't judge ; )

Also, I cut the front pockets out of all of pants so I can itch my legs when they need to be itched. The fact that pants have front pockets in the first place really baffles my mind...think about it?! WHY do they exist for girls?! WHYY???
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
1. Humor/wit/"quick on the uptake"/clever - probably the most important thing to me....someone that I can laugh with and will laugh at my jokes
2. Intelligence (engaged/interested/curious about the world around you) & educated
3. Kindness/caring/loving/not selfish/treat your friends and family well

Also, would love a guy that would be athletic with me and loves travel, adventure and culture but those 2 things are "nice to haves" ; )
