My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Family, good conversation and new experiences are the most important parts of my life. Politically liberal, always side with the disadvantaged and try to be a thoughtful, caring person, yet with a wry, irreverent sense of humor. Far from an intellectual, I read a lot of both fiction & non-fiction (my daughter is a publisher so I get a lot of books for free!) and love to take courses at my local community college. Take one big trip a year - this one to Brussels & Amsterdam as I'm really interested in 17th century Dutch art. Physically active, do a lot of kayaking, biking, and dog-walking. Prefer to swim from a beach rather than sit on it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I once won $750 at a duck drop. It's not luck, it's a talent.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My openness and interest in what other people are thinking and doing - which is why I so enjoyed being a marketing research consultant.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite books: The Master & Margarita (which I would love to see adapted for Wall Street), Wolf Hall, Tolstoy's short stories, and The Good Soldier by Ford Madox Ford (who was clearly more creative than his parents). Favorite movies: Casablanca, In Bruges, The Silver Linings Playbook, Sleeper and Monte Python & The Search For The Holy Grail. Favorite Broadway shows: Guys & Dolls, The Pirates of Penzance with Kevin Kline, Death of a Salesman with Dustin Hoffman (TV version) and The Merchant of Venice with Al Pacino. Favorite TV shows: anything British. Favorite music: Handel and The Rolling Stones. Favorite food: anything at all, I'm not picky (though I don't eat a lot of meat).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My children, friends, dogs, travel, books and sunny days.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Would love to discuss but it's still within the statute of limitations.
