I make a living playing guitar, teaching, composing music, and foraging. I like turtles.

In three bands and I sub with numerous others. I have a few guitar students. Walla Walla University is paying me to use music I was commissioned to write for a theatre company here in Portland last fall. I'm always learning more songs from many genres, mainly jazz, more techniques, and more about wild edibles.

Cooking comfort foods, saucy stuff. Improvising. Guitar. Singing super low. Some call me funny, funny lookin'!

I don't know, I'll have to ask them next time. I do get a lot of hair compliments when it's long I guess.

Books: 1984, Irvine Welsh, Non-Fiction(Breaks of the Game, Seven Seconds or Less, Communist Manifesto)
Movies: The Big Lebowski, True Stories, any dumb comedies
Shows: Futurama, Breaking Bad, my life is like a sitcom
Music: Django Reinhardt is at the top of every list. Lately I've been listening to Danny Gatton, James Burton, Wayne Shorter, Tenesse Ernie Ford, Joe Pass, Clarinet Cat Box, Dan Duval. Got to see Tomahawk recently. I've been working on memorizing dances from the Lute Suites by J.S. Bach, choro repertoire (Brazilian), my own country songs, a lil' modern jazz and bebop stuff, my jazz and klezmer songs...
Food: Rich, spicy, comfort food, fried, exotic foods, healthy ones at times, whatever, as long is it isn't grape leaves or grape nuts, grapes are fine though.

Music; what should I be working on? How can I make what's in my head a reality? I also think more generally about how I can make myself better, the planet better, what I want to achieve, and how I'm going to achieve it. Also, food, sexual fantasies and amateur NBA analysis take up some brain space too at the ol' Cerebellum Inn.

Playing a regular weekly gig, or hopefully have a sub at that one and at a better one.
