My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First of all, if you "like" me, I won't be able to see it, so feel free to say hi!

Music and retro popular culture is my life force. I am not passive about these things. I dont just like "anything with a good beat". I can dissect it and analyze it and tell you it's history and why it is making you want to dance, cry, stick it to "the man", or fall in love. (And if you let me, I will talk about it for hours...Muhahaha!)

If you are looking for the guy who is running the marathon to surf at the beach after hangliding off a mountain he just climbed, I am not your guy. There seems to be a lot of that kind of stuff here. I am also not the guy who spends his time traveling to the outer reaches of Mongolia to live with native tribes. Those are all cool things, but that's not me either.

I am (at least in my own mind) funny and smart and exceedingly honest and patient and NICE most of the time. I can converse with you about the history of Crimea or Chomsky's linguistic theories but I would probably be happier discussing the genius of Don Knotts.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
OK, so here are some random factiods about my bad self...

I am trying to put things in place to open a restaurant. I am excited and terrified about this, but I figure that even if I fall on my face, that its better being my own boss. It might be a while before that happens though.

While I have played in bands for years, I am taking a break. Up until recently, I had a DJ set one Saturday a month at a local bar. Not the thumpa thumpa dance stuff, but rare 60's soul and R&B.

I would love to meet someone who lives nearby (think SF, Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda).

I obsessively follow a small soccer team in West London.

I have tattoos that cover both my arms and may or may not want more.

I have a great old classic car that I love to work on (but not awesome for going too far out of town as it is 53 years old and all).

That being said, I am very interested creating local-ish adventures! If interested, Please submit your application for the position of "LOYAL AND TRUSTY SIDEKICK!!"
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making mix CD's. Making Pizza. Making out.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My man/mountain-ness!

There is no setting for "Tall and Husky" on OKC! :(

So hard to decide on any of these, but here goes...

Books: Steinbeck. Hemingway. HP Lovecraft. Neruda, Dashiell Hammett. I like the classics. I also read non-fiction like bio's, manuals, historical things. I can spend hours looking at maps. And shiny things. OOOH!!

TV Show's: I like The Daily Show. @Midnight, Kroll Show Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Inside Amy Schumer, Another Period, Meltdown, Broad City, Billy On The Street, Todd Margaret, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Simpsons, Louie, Better Call Saul, Last Man On Earth, John Oliver, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Old TV shows. I am not embarrassed of watching TV and you shouldn't either.

Music: AC/DC, KISS, MC5, Sabbath, Sonics, Otis, Booker T, Etta, Howlin' Wolf, Sam and Dave, Northern, Stax, RAMONES, Stooges, Dead Boys, Clash, Spits, Mummies, The Dammed, RFTC, Devo, Cash, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Bob Wills, Patsy Cline, Charlie Parker, Sinatra, Ella, Dinah Washington, Dizzy, Sarah Vaughn, Chet Baker, Wanda Jackson, Wynona Carr, Carl Perkins, Doo Wop and pre-Rock and roll, 70's glam, 60's French pop, and that barely scratches the surface.

At the moment, this is my tops on my turntable...

Movies: I like everything from Hollywood action films to independent artsy-fartsy crap. I am a big fan of film noir. And I have a not-so-secret love for cheesy old horror movies and sci-fi from the 50's and 60's. Mel Brooks is a genius!

Food: I love Mexican/Salvadoran, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Burgers, Pizza, German, BBQ, Scotch. I love a good salad too!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I like good music, good food, bad women, good lovin', good gravy!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My work week is exhausting! So probably at home getting ready for Satuday, but occasionally out with friends or at a show if I get a second wind.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I was involved in an underground lab experiment gone awry. I was exposed to massive amounts of gamma radiation. And now every time I get angry, a chemical reaction occurs and I turn green, I grow larger, and my clothes shred to pieces. I will travel the country righting wrongs and trying to figure out how to go back to being the humble scientist I once was. ...doo dooo doo dooooo....

If you are some kind of Super Genius that uses her powers for good MOST of the time.

If you are funny. REALLY funny. REALLY REALLY FREAKIN' FUNNY!!

I am fairly left, politically, but also very tolerant for the most part. That said, John Birch-er/Tea Party-er conservative religious types, please move on.

You are 'ok' with the fact that I hate Mumford and all of his sons.

You dont have strong beliefs in Astrology or psychics or Scientology or some other silly type of self-analysis or Woo.

You might want to take swing dancing lessons with me.

You DONT have kids.

You have no interest in Burning Man.

Extra points if you have a retro, vintage style.

While you dont have to be all rock and roll, you at LEAST have to like the Ramones or it just isn't going to work!
