I hate writing this kind of stuff...seems almost vain...suffice it to say, if you visit with me long enough, you'll find out probably more than you wanted to know about me...

I am Danged, If I, and Know

Living my childhood dream of being a cowboy...I work for one of the largest ranches in Florida and the Southeast...eat more beef...keep me in a job!!

Hobbywise, I am a reenactor (WWII)...I used to reenact Confederate Cavalry, but my horse come up crippled, and I can't afford to reenact both periods, so I've given up the War of Northern Aggression...

Singing (so people tell me), writing poetry (so people tell me), horse training (fair to middling), studying the Bible and history... debating (well, maybe I'm not that good, but I enjoy a good argument), I expect there's other things, but once again, this type of stuff seems vain...

If I'm comfortable or don't give a rip: that I talk a lot and/or can be a bit silly
If I'm not particularly comfortable: I'm fairly quiet

Books:the Bible, A Land Remembered (read 5 times), Parachute Infantry (a memoir of a paratrooper's experiences during WWII), Band of Brothers (a history of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment during WWII), anything by Elmer Kelton...really there are too many to mention.

Movies: Most westerns, war movies and a few science fiction (Star Trek and Star Wars at the top)...I enjoy most genres, but no horror movies...real life is scary enough...

Music: Classical, Country (not the pop crap that passes for country these days),1940s Big Band Swing, Southern Gospel, Rock and Roll (especially heavy metal and grunge)...cannot abide Rap, hiphop or whatever they call it (except for maybe 5 or 6 songs)...

Food: I'm not a picky eater, but what I won't eat, I won't eat...

Jesus Christ, horses, firearms, my Bible,family, and the outdoors

Theology, history, politics...I think that covers it...

Home...maybe building a girth, cleaning a rifle, watching a movie, or online...yeah...I have a somewhat boring life (to most people!)

If I were to admit it to the world (i.e. this website), then it wouldn't be private, now would it?

You wouldn't mind a somewhat intelligent conversation...never know where it might go...
