Books: I've enjoyed A Clockwork Orange, Great
Gatsby, Glamorama, The Informers, and several others. I wasn't a
big reader until the past like 5 years, so...
It's not from lack of trying, me not reading so much. I have found
it tedious in the past to find literature that can actually
maintain my attention. That being said, I have greatly enjoyed
Shakespeare throughout my life; and being the romantic that I am,
Romeo & Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream are my
Movies: I really like 'em. My favorite films are
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Royal Tenenbaums, and A
Clockwork Orange. Those are my solids. Others include, Hackers,
Goonies, The Fifth Element, Ghostbusters, The Neverending Story,
Amélie, Labyrinth, A Single Man, The Wizard of Oz, and [I'll add
more as they come to mind]. I like most genres except for most of
violent action-adventures, but I have a few exceptions, like Die
Hard (or anything with the great Bruce Willis).
This list would be about as long as my music list, so for right
now, let's stick with what's above. Mainly, if it makes me laugh,
think, or stare in awe, I will like it.
TV: Since this will be a shorter list, we'll just
dive right in: Sex and The City, The Walking Dead, Talking Dead,
Orphan Black, Sherlock, Girls, American Horror Story, The Venture
Brothers, Modern Family, Gadget Man, Looking, Orange Is The New
Black, Adventure Time, The Mindy Project, Sleepy Hollow, RuPaul's
Drag Race, Community, Hannibal, The Mighty Boosh, and many British
quiz shows like, QI, The Big Fat Quiz, or Never Mind the
Music: I grew up in a rock 'n' roll home, with the
occasional country or gospel record, so I like to think that my
musical preferences are adequately eclectic. This will be a rather
lengthy list, so I will have mercy with you guys and spare the band
names for the most part. A majority is Lo-Fi, Indie, Alternative,
80's New Wave, Punk, and Synth-Pop. You know, like New Order, Death
From Above 1979, The Blood Brothers, City Calm Down, Nirvana, Cut
Copy, Bishop Allen, Bright Eyes, Family of the Year, The Pains of
Being Pure At Heart, French Films, Beach Fossils, and The National.
My favorites change depending on my mood, but my absolute favorite
song is Just Like Heaven by The Cure. Regardless of what it is,
though, I always like it loud.
Food: I am a finicky eater (I really hate
onions and mushrooms). However, I'm not afraid to try something
new. I love trying out new restaurants. Burgers are tasty, and I
prefer New York-style pizza over deep dish, as well as a good deli.
I live in the wrong city, for sure.
