My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, lets see. I'm 28, I'm a graduate student completing my MSW, and I work in the child welfare field. I have a daughter who is the light of my life, and we are absolutely a package deal. I'm a passionate person in both belief and action, and I don't do well with intolerance or injustice of any sort. I truly believe in our inherent responsibility to love, protect, and accept each other as human beings, regardless of our differences, and I try my best to fulfill this responsibility. I'm an idealist and a dreamer to the core and not ashamed of it!

I'm also a spiritual person, and am always looking for ways to integrate spirituality further into my life. I practice meditation and am a Reiki Master/Teacher. I would love to find someone to share this with as well - energy work and play can be incredible with the right partner!

On the less philosophical side of things - I like to garden, explore new paths in the woods, listen to audiobooks, write, draw, and occasionally indulge in a Netflix binge. I like funny movies and ice cream sundaes and autumn. I can't stand doing dishes or the taste of guacamole.

I'm at a point in my life where I've outgrown the clubs and bars and loud concerts for the most part, and prefer quiet places and conversation. Also, coffee. I have a deep and abiding love for coffee.

It shouldn't have to be noted, but I will as this is an online setting - I am a plus sized woman. I'm healthy, happy in my body, and have no qualms about the body types of others. I'd prefer to connect with those who have similar feelings on the subject :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Finishing college right now is the big one! I'm really committed to finishing school (5 more months!), and it takes up a good deal of my time.
My work is challenging and wonderful.
I'm also a parent - a big and fantastic job.
Other than that, I try to take walks and be outside whenever I can, and try to carve out some "me" time when I can to just relax.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Working with children. Consuming what for other people would be toxic amounts of caffeine. Crock pot cooking. Problem solving. Debating. Snuggling :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my eyes. Or the adorable kid perpetually on my hip :)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: the Mossflower series, Harry Potter, cheesy J.D. Robb romance/mystery novels, Eckhart Tolle, Rudy Ballentine, older spiritual texts

Movies: I'm a huge Adam Sandler fan. I don't think a person can watch Billy Madison or Mr. Deeds too many times. I also like a good documentary now and again.

Shows: I don't have cable, so nothing new usually. I watch the Daily Show religiously, and trying to keep up with New Girl and a few other funny/sitcom type shows.

Music: Michael Franti, Trevor Hall, Dave Matthews, Strangefolk, Rolling really depends on my mood!

Food: Comfort food, Japanese, Indian. I'm a mostly-vegetarian and make a mean stir fry.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Caffeinated beverages
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
ummm...homework. That's the truth. My brain is almost always filled with homework.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing homework, with my daughter, asleep, out with varies.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not a whole lot!
