My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A good guy looking for a good girl (ok, maybe not that good). I'm a happy, friendly, athletic, outgoing, spontaneous and easy going man that brings fun and plenty of passion (never live without it) without drama and am looking for a bit of the same. I, too, am in search of a true partner, lover and best friend.

It would be great to meet you in the real world, rather than in cyberspace (apparently I'm more charming live than on paper :-)), but here we are. I'm not playing the numbers game, so I might need a nudge.

I know what it's like to truly love and it would be great to get back to that place... should the right one come along, of course. And I'm completely open to finding love (any baggage got misrouted on some past trip). In the meantime, I enjoy life as it comes and as I make it. My "list" of wants is short and hopefully so is yours. Instead of trying to fit me into your puzzle, join me in creating our own.

I love kids and am really good with them. Part of me is kicking myself for not having started a family. I was very close and actually played dad to a fatherless boy for 5 years (and still see him on occasion). Now I'm not sure if it's too late at this stage? I'm certainly open to it with the right person, but am happy otherwise.

Playing sports (I'd rather do than watch, which applies to most everything in life) and engaging in various outdoor activities (some more challenging than others) have always been a part of my life, though I've lately been exploring other outlets. And, yes, I've done, and will continue to do, more than my my share of traveling.

I do spend a bit of time in the Santa Cruz area (family).

Oh, and I do all those other things everybody else says they do. And, yes, of course I love wine.

Double-Oh, I really am 6'1" :-)

Your independence and successes will be greatly admired, appreciated and supported, but if you can't check your drive-to-be-the-boss at the door, then we simply won't work.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Moving forward to a whole new set of adventures...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I think I'm one of those guys who is good at many things and likes to participate at a high level, as well as just for fun, but my interests are too diverse to focus on being exceptionally great at that one thing (well, there are a few things ;)). It's that redundancy thing that bores me. I've been active my entire life, whether it be playing sports, outdoor activities, nature, music (I play a bit of guitar), learning and so on....
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I actually look like my photos (no surprises for you) and have even been told I look better in person (true or not, I bit on the compliment). I guess that explains my lack of a modeling career ;-)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Finally read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo... loved it. My tastes in movies and music varies widely... from international thrillers and intrigue to foreign films to action to life stories to educational to Harry Potter, and, of course, comedy (even romantic comedies, occasionally). Don't bother trying to drag me to a scary flick, I simply won't go. Nope.

The same goes with music. Most anything done well can be enjoyable, maybe even sometimes hip hop and country ;-)

I'm warning you now that I love to pop into art galleries should we be passing by, so please be patient with me if it's not your thing.
The six things I could never do without

~ Passion and affection

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A little bit of everything and sometimes nothing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typical? Is there such a thing? It really depends on the time of year, girlfriend / no girlfriend, friends, things going on.... Let's mix it up.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Now, now... it wouldn't be private if I exposed it here.
