What I’m doing with my life
I am 21 and currently writing my bachelor thesis! I love studying at university (history and classical archaeology), sleeping, living, eating. I take proud in what i do and so should you. Besides this joyful duty i can call myself lector for some successful paper.
I’m really good at
drawing, writing, hiking. socializing, dramatizing, supervising.
The first things people usually notice about me
nerdy kid. born in the early '90s. likes strange, ancient things no one has heard about. would prefer to live as a squire or scholar in the middle ages and loves to barricade himself behind books and forgotten knowledge, but can relate to modern persons and media. shy, likeable guy. maybe a little bit awkward.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
books, movies and more

books
These are the themes i prefer: epic fantasy, low fantasy, fiction and historical novels. [Tolkien in general, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit (my favorit childhood book]. You should check out Allan Lee and John Howes illustrations of middle earth and its inhabitants. One must wonder how multifarious they can bring this rich, imaginative world to life.

movies
i love horror movies and fantasy movies, everything from Stephen King to Peter Jackson :p

concerning my perception of classical music
Why are you willing to talk about this old, dusty music mankind has never heard of and not about modern day music one might ask. Well, i guess it is just a personal preference and if you think of it, most of the modern songs are based on classical notes or chords. Since i'm no musicoarcheologist, i am bold to define the classical genre not only in the modern sense, but as classical pieces which are aesthetic, earpleasing, meaning for me it is even something that can go beyond classic and classicism. To me music only needs to be exhilarating, noble, heroic, almost extramundane and never ordinary. I would like to invite you to listen to all of those marvelous pieces and decide for yourself, if you want to stick to modern day radio jingles or enjoy fine art and craftmanship:

medieval virelai music - Francesco Landini. Questa fanciull'amor; Walther von der Vogelweide. Palästinalied; Guillaume de Machaut

medieval music - i encourage you to ask me for one particular piece by the utterly almost unknown anglo-burgundian musician Robert Morton and promise that you won't be disappointed. Recommending Alexander Agricola, Antoine Busnois and miscellaneous anonymous pieces.

rennaissance - venetian and neapolitan music for consort of viols in the XVII Century. Carlo Gesualdo principe di Venosa: partitura delli sei libri de' madgrigali a cinque voci.Gesualdo might be a controversial person but his music can be enjoyed nevertheless.

early modern music in protestant Germany - Hans Leo Hassler. intrada, Johan Schein. Pavan, Michael Praetorius. terpsichore musarum.

special offer of the month - Wilhelm Peterson Berger. Suite "I Somras" (Last Summer), for Orchestra (1903).

movie score and video game music
Now i won't make a lenghty discussion about why i like movie scores so much, everyone watching movies knows how important they are for setting the right mood on the right time. In fact i believe, that this genres come to live by its great diversity. Here are just some competent composers of magnificent masterworks i can relate to:
Basil Poledouris, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Philip Glass, Matt Uelmen, Robert Euvino, Neal Acree, Russell Brower, Howard Shore, Inon Zur, Austin Wintory and of course not to forget grandmaster Jeremy Soule.
The six things I could never do without
family.
friends.
freedom.
faith.
peace.
nature.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the relationship between us humans and our world, our origins, our past and our religion. There lies something mystic, misty-eyed in everything surrounding us that cannot be ruptured at once.
On a typical Friday night I am
usually i stay at home, in my bed or in front of my pc, watching random movies (thanks to reddit), playing some video games, reading books or just thinking about god knows what. I would call it comfy mode, but i have to admit that it would be even better with someone at my side... some girl to have fun with, some girl who conforts me when she is around. Maybe that girl could be you?
Once in a while i meet up with college friends and we usually have a chat and some drinks but either is optional. Sometimes we also go to Cologne, delve into the "underground" or even the "live music hall". Also, i do like to go to the cinema and watch sneak previews of upcoming movies together with my mates.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
there is no such thing as universal wisdom.
