Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Right-o. So I'm 30, grew up in Arlington and moved to Austin about
six years ago, specifically to go to culinary school at TCA (Le
Cordon Bleu... Whatever the hell they're calling it now), generally
to get out of Arlington. I'm pretty easy going and all live and let
live. I like cartoons and nerds, I especially enjoy surprise nerds.
I'm kinda Austin-normal in the fact that I'm not.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I hope to travel about in the near future. I have plans to have my
own bakery type business someday, barring that, I'd settle for a
job where I get a good portion of creative control. Currently I'm
most just popping around Austin, working as a cake decorator and
muttering darkly about over-priviledged ninnies. I'm looking to
find more people to hang around with and maybe even a boy type to
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Lying. Or am I? You can't tell because I'm so awesome at it! Haha!
Unfortunately it seems to be apart of my biology that I be honest
with people. So I only lie to customers. ^_^ I'm good at my job,
which is nice, since I love the work I do. I'm a fairly solid cook,
of savory type food. Oh, and I can read! Not to rub that in
illiterate people' faces though. (I hope someone gets that.). I
sketch well and have mad cleaning skills when I so choose to. Oh,
and making an ass out of myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Nerd. And I have sizable boobs that constantly get in my way!
Seriously, cake-boobing is entirely less fun than it sounds. I tend
to people watch for a bit before really trying to join a new
group's conversation, unless I've been drinking, then I'm all balls
to the wall, go for it, everyone here is my bestest friend ever,
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Mmmm, ask anyone, everything is my favorite, by, like, a million
times! Hyperbole is my friend. Books: Harry Potter series, anything
by Christopher Moore, Beach Music by ?, Footprints of God by Greg
Iles, the poems and stories of Shel Silverstein, The Graveyard Book
by Neil Gaiman, John Green's work, especially The Fault In Our
Stars, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee is one of my all time
favorites, I like me some David Sedaris... I really just enjoy
Movies: There's really just not enough space here. Most anything,
especially B-horror, though the chick flicks I like are few and far
Music: I love classic rock, pretty much just all of it. The Eastern
Sea is the most fantastic local band ever and if you're unfamiliar
with them then you should change that and start loving them too!
I'm an unwilling fan of pop music. I don't want to like it, but I
do, oh I do so much! I also have a strange affection for Lady Gaga.
I adore the Decemberists and Arcade Fire and Muse. And Pat Benatar
is my spirit animal and go to karaoke inspiration. I enjoy many
sounds and can cope with most anything but hardcore rap, country
and Christian rock (it's an oxymoron and a lie!).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-Some device on which to listen to my selection of music.
-Something to read, anything really.
-As cheesy as this is, my damn family. They drive me batshit crazy
sometimes, but I love them and would hate to be without them. That
-A nice buffer from my family. They are the definition of too much
of a good thing.
-Cakes. Not so much for the eating but the decorating, they are my
creative outlet, without which I'm pretty sure I'd already be a
-And, ugh, you know... Stuff?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything and nothing really. Various types of cake decoratey
designs. Usually if I'm spending time contemplating I just kinda
let my mind wander at its will. Also... How to take over the world!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dreading my 5 AM work time for Saturday morning, or half dead from
the 12+ hours I worked on that Friday. Though, on the rare, slow
weekend, I'll go out and grab a beer and a show with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Doctor Who makes me get all weepy kinda consistantly... Which kinda
flies in the face of my "I don't cry" persona... Though that's
actually a fair amount of bullshit.
