My self-summary
A little about me:
-I need to have deep, intense conversations on a regular basis.
-I’m a committed vegetarian of 4 years!
-I love all animals and long for a puppy.
-I live with two great lady friends in an awesome apartment.
-I’m a liberal, feminist super-woman.
-I’ve traveled internationally (long-term-style) and plan on spending a significant portion of my life overseas.
-I’m beyond down with GEEKS and NERDS.
- I'm interested in meeting someone with a brave heart and a sense of adventure. Distance isn't as important to me as compatibility.
What I’m doing with my life
I earned a BA in Brittish Literature from a small liberal arts college in Upstate New York in 2007. I was a jill-of-all trades newspaper woman for a while then I moved to South Korea for 2 years, where I tought English as a second language. Readjusting to life in the US wasn't easy.

Currently, have a job that I love! I work from home and have incredible conversations with inspiring individuals overseas.

Water color painting has taken up a lot of my time lately.
I’m really good at
Making referenced-based jokes. Thinking of that one word that would fit a situation perfectly. I'm handy with a sewing machine. I do a lot of recipe-less cooking while watching Futurama. I think I'm pretty smart and capable in general.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have very short hair and bold distinctive eyebrows. My facial expressions are also way too easy to read.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read daily, and my bookshelf/Kindle is filled with a variety of genres. Usually I go for fantasy and sci-fi, but I enjoy all kinds of good writting. I've been trying to branch put into non-fiction. Listening to Radiolab and This American Life has introduced me to some interesting science writers. Throwing Shade is by far the best podcast I have ever listened to. I would love to go on a date where we sit and just listen to that show.

Musically, I shift around depending on my mood. My car radio is almost always tuned to Jack FM. My MP3 player is chock full of classic and Indie rock. Lately, I listen to a lot of Bat for Lashes, St Vincent and Pink. Throw in some classic Bowie and I'm ready to do some dancing in the kitchen.

I could write FOREVER about movies, so I won't even go there! Let's just say that I love them a lot and would watch a new one every single day if I had the time to research and watch. If you want to know more, just ask.

I think my favorite meal is breakfast, and the best breakfast possible is a bagel with cream cheese, a side of fresh fruit and endless coffee.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I can turn embarrassing life situations into interesting stories. The dream I had the night before. The masquarade scene in The Labyrinth.
On a typical Friday night I am
...hopefully with some or all of my awesome friends. We like to go out, have a few drinks and dare each other to do inappropriate things at bars.

Other night-time activities I enjoy include:
- Having deep, intense and honest conversations
-Country line dancing
-Shakespeare in Delaware Park
-Lounging on the porch
-Painting with water colors... I call this one "Old Gregg"
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I believe, deep in my soul, that I would make a great romance novelist.

And I'm totally in love with Garrus from Mass Effect.
