Not sure is this thing is on, but here we go...

Moved to Orange County a while ago- first for college and now for work. I like to think I'm somewhat adventurous and have always enjoyed the outdoors- from a relaxing afternoon soaking up sun at the beach to something more adventurous like sky-diving. I'm willing try almost anything once and enjoy the challenge new things can bring. That said, I also enjoy playing video games and doing movie marathons at home as well. Just depends on my mood.

I've recently started to hit the gym more and eat better. I have personal and professional reasons for this and while I'm not really out of shape, I'd like to get back to the fitness level I was at in the Army and appreciate people who make an effort to take care of themselves.

To be honest and up front, I tend to prefer white, Asian and Latin girls who are height-weight proportionate and a little younger than I am- although that's not to discourage anyone from contacting me- just some preferences I have. Also, primarily looking for new friends or something light and fun- although I wouldn't mind meeting the girl of my dreams and settling down.

I have my BA and work full time with a somewhat unconventional schedule. What free time I have, I like to spend with friends and make the most of it. I enjoy my work, though I am hoping to find something better in the near future.

Making people laugh and using what I like to call "common sense" to help people have a better day.

I've been told I am really intelligent by people I've barely met. I don't know if that really qualifies but that's all I got for this question.

Books: I am a bit of a sci-fi / fantasy nerd. Most of the books I read for pleasure fall into this category and include Lord of the Rings, Ender's Game, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Turtledove's alternate history novels, etc. I also enjoy the classics like a Red Badge of Courage, The Great Gatsby, Shakespeare, etc. and more "pop culture" books- Tom Clancy, Dan Brown, etc. Yeah....I read a lot.

Movies and Shows: Surprisingly, these align with my reading interests in the sci-fi / fantasy genre, classics, comedy and some of the REALLY popular series (House, for example, even though I know almost nothing about the medical field). Some additions are historical programming (Band of Brothers, The Tudors, etc.) and "Cop shows": Law and Order, COPS, Southland, Justified, etc.

Music: I enjoy a wide variety from Classic Rock, Alternative rock, Top 40, Blues, Classical....pretty much anything but rap (there's a few exceptions). I also REALLY like Country music. That's usually a deal-breaker in SoCal, but I do.

Food? I love it all. I will try almost anything. That said, I have some personal likes / dislikes that I am pretty firm on.

I tend to enjoy everything that's put in front of me and I can feed off the passions of others. In the end, I enjoy being exposed to new things (art, food, movies, etc.), I think it makes me grow as an individual.

Besides the obvious human needs...

Companionship of family and good friends
The opportunity to learn and improve myself
Ambition to be better tomorrow than I am today
An adventurous and understanding partner
Modern technology (this is sad, I know, but it's true)

And finally: true love. I've come close a few times. I know it's out there. Just have to find it.

What I need to do, and how to balance that with the things I want to do.

I work a 4-10 schedule Friday-Monday, so I'm usually at work, at the gym or asleep during the weekend. That being said...

After a long week of work and chores, I tend to relax. A good movie, good food and good company are underrated. I'm past the partying phase, but find myself out and about at times, sometimes doing the movie-bowling-club thing with friends or, on rare occasion, just driving around town somewhat aimlessly. You'd be amazed at what you can find when you think you're lost.

Almost anything. Just ask.
