My Self-Summary

I am a sculptor, but I support myself with an office-drone job. This does not make things easy, as you might imagine. I've not yet gotten any contacts for my art and that's part of why I've joined this site.

I love a sort of melancholic beauty and I would be delighted to make friends who enjoy similar things. In particular, I love the look of slightly ragged lace, post mortem photographs, ball joint dolls, cemeteries under snow or otherwise and human oddities.

I do identify as gothic, hopefully of a dignified variety and I consider myself a rather hardcore masochist.

Anyway, I'm really just looking for friends on here, since I do have a long term partner. I do rather need friends though.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm working on getting my art off the ground and not becoming an office zombie.

I’m really good at

Sculpting, crochet, ball joint doll faceups, debate, and style.

My long black skirts and matching hair.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books- Geek Love, Green Angel, Phantom, Perdido Street Station, 1984, A Handmaid's Tale, Extremities, Les Fleurs Du Mal, Lolita, and poetry by Neruda.

Movies-Dark City, Marie Antoinette, Sweeney Todd, The Others, Casablanca, The Devil's Backbone and Hero.

Music-Beauty of Gemina, The Cruxshadows, Corvus Corax, Bella Morte, The Dresden Dolls, Bach, Vivaldi, Handel and Haydn.

Food- Well made breads, pretty desserts, sushi, pomegranates, tomato soup, steamed dumplings, and milk chocolate

The six things I could never do without

Art, beauty, friendship, black clothing, eyeliner and yarn.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Why people don't know how to argue, what art is, the brevity of life, snow falls, how beauty relates to death, and misconceptions about a variety of subjects.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either out dancing or at home sculpting.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Lately I have been admiring lolita clothes, especially in pale cream or antique white colours, although I could never wear them.
