My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love traveling, exploring and wandering across this crazy planet of ours. I love learning and seeking out new ways to appreciate life each and every day. I'm a storyteller at heart so inspiring others to do the same is what gets me out of bed each morning. The driving forces in my life are love, connection and compassion. If you believe in these qualities, and actively express them in your life, then we may be a good match.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work full time for the Peace Corps as a Recruiter in the Denver / Golden / Boulder area and I couldn't be happier with my job. My work schedule is pretty flexible so my day to day is always changing. In my spare time I am working on building up a freelance photography and videography business.

What got me here? I served in the Peace Corps in Namibia as a science teacher and in the Philippines as an audio video specialist. The rest is history.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Seeing the good in another person.
Seeing the beauty in a random situation.
Feeling gratitude for the experiences that have happened to me in life and never feeling shut down by a setback.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My real name is a tree, a source of water, and an animal.
And I'll add the last thing people usually notice (for obvious reasons): my grandfather emigrated from Mexico so, technically, I'm a quarter Hispanic.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My camera, passport and skateboard. Drive, purpose and friends.
If I were to sum it up in one word: curiosity.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Physical, mental, and spiritual awareness. Light, shadows, and color.
How to inspire people to care about each other, our planet and about getting involved.

I also think we need to embrace our human imperfections and forgive each other more. I love this quote by Immanuel Kant, "Out of the crooked timber of humanity, no straight thing was ever made."
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I prefer the company of close friends and nature's wilderness to the random city scene, so you won't catch me downtown that much. That being said, I still like to go out every now and then. As long as I'm doing something I love, or spending time with people I care about, then it doesn't really matter what's happening.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm still actively trying to figure out life and myself. I'm attracted to women who know what they want but aren't afraid of uncertainty or ambiguity. No matter how carefully you plan things out something unexpected will always happen, so you need to know how to adapt and be flexible. That is the human condition anyway. In my case, I spent three years pursuing a graduate degree that, ultimately, made me miserable, so I ended up dropping out. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and quit a bad thing. Besides, dealing with adversity adds depth, humility, and wisdom to who you are, which makes you a far more interesting person to be around.
