I am low-maintenance, contradictory, and reliable.
My Self-Summary
I am a woman of contradictions.
I ride bicycles,
motorcycles and
horses.
I am incredibly organized, just too lazy to keep things that
way.
I am happily married but still sleep well with others.
My bedside table holds yarn, toys, candles and a
fantasy book I have read 5
times already.
I love
gaming and I
hate AD&D. (Actually anything that is D20 based)
I love the city but could never live there.
I love the country but could never live there.
I hate the suburbs and I live there.
I am more comfortable barefoot but I hate my feet.
Halloween beats
Christmas hands down.
There is nothing better than presents.
I love surprises but I can't stand not knowing something.
I get incredibly focused, but can't do just one thing at a
time.
I am a patch-quilt of completely random things, deliberately
stitched together to create a masterpiece.
I am also modest.
I really should update this but I love the above so it is hard to
take anything out.. to be honest now.. I haven't touched my bicycle
in years and we moved out of the suburbs last year to a house I
love in NoPo. It is not really the City, but I can't call it the
suburb either...certainly isn't Beaverton.
What I’m doing with my life
I spend my weekdays working for the man, in an 7-4 office job.
Evenings are spent either at the barn working with my
american
saddlebred, playing
Rolemaster or GMing
Call of Cthulhu. I then
spend a few hours playing RockBand, working on a puzzle or reading.
Some nights that varies, but not by much.
Yep boring :)
I’m really good at
horseback-riding,
staying up until 4 am to finish a book I've already read,
getting things done,
creating
Rolemaster characters,
creating lists,
playing Catan, Ticket to Ride or other board games
falling asleep anywhere....
I'm really bad at:
talking on the phone
keeping in touch with people I don't see all the time
The first things people usually notice about me
I can't speak for other people, but the first thing I notice about
other people are faces, lips and hair.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
(A) Favorite books are fantasy - Anita Blake Series, the Kurshiel
series, Jennifer Roberson, Glen Cook, etc.
(B) Not a big movie watcher really but I have to say my new
favorite movie is Serenity. Other good ones include
Station Agent and The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which
actually scared me because I hate Jim Carey. Kinsey was worth
seeing and Lord of the Rings deserves honorable mention too.
(C) Not a big music person. I like small little bands before
they become big. I spend a lot of my time listening to strange
covers and mash ups.
(D) I like any food that I didn't make as long as it isn't
covered in hot spices, cinnamon or garlic.
The six things I could never do without
My Love, the outdoors, my animals, my computer, an even balance of
people and alone time, and books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Things I want to say to people but never do. Seriously.. I'll play
all of these strange conversations in my head.
On a typical Friday night I am
There is such a thing as a typical Friday Night?
Let's see.. the last few fridays have been...
Watching films at the
H.P. Lovecraft film
festival
Hanging out in Salt Spring Island with the in-laws
At The Dalles Ranch for our annual Halloween Party (4 days of
bliss!)
At a horse show
Playing board games with hubbie, boyfriend and his wife while
handing out candy to kids
Hosting a
Norwescon planning session with 6
friends and playing rockband
If you see a pattern in there let me know.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
My greatest fears are needles and losing my balance. Lack of
coordination = lack of balance = need for stitches.. not a good
thing in my book.
You should message me if
You are looking for a group to game with, someone to hang with, or
a riding buddy.
See my journal for ideas on how to best contact me.
