I'm a typical down-to-earth girl from a semi-small town in Florida; there was never a whole lot to do back home so I'm usually pretty content to stay at home or go to a friend's house to chill, watch tv or a movie, or play some guitar hero/Rock Band! I've got the whole set, and have been known to rock the guitar AND sing when bored. :)

I also enjoy going out, but generally speaking in more relaxed type settings, like going to a bar with a live band or just drinking some beers with the work buddies wherever they happen to decide to go. I'm more or less over the club scene, though you might see me there with a giant group of friends, celebrating a birthday...to the extreme. :) I'm still new enough to what Tampa has to offer and am curious to find some more interesting chill things to do.

I'm currently going back to school to become an interpreter for the Deaf. I already have my bachelor's from USF where I majored in psychology, which has worked out really well in the job market, as is sarcastically obvious in the following sentence. I work at a retail store to pay the bills, where I've already been waaay too long.... and with the economy the way it is, I guess I'm stuck until I finish school. :P I've also flirted with the idea of eventually becoming a counselor for Deaf clients, but we'll see where life takes me at this point. :)

Other than that? I think I'm just enjoying the journey that is Life. :)

School. lol I've always excelled at school without trying too hard. And in general, I can excel at most things I try just because I have the kind of stick-to-itiveness that seems to be increasingly hard to find these days. I wish I was better at some things, like playing music or singing... And someday when I have some time to devote to lessons I'll probably attempt to become "really good" at that too!

I think people usually first notice my smile, since I have the tendency to do that often. :) (If the incessant text smilies and "lol"s weren't a give away lol). If we're talking about personality, it's probably my tendency to be very welcome and accepting of everyone. I've also heard I'm charismatic? lol

Let's see... I love 300, Transformers, The Notebook, Moulin Rouge, Knocked Up, Fight Club. Those are some top favorite movies. I read this mini series by Garth Nix: "Sabriel", "Lirael" and "Abhorsen". It's a fantasy type novel that had an interesting take about old world magic and present day technology. In general, I like Koontz and King and I'll read pretty much anything that someone can suggest to me. My newest favorite!! Orson Scott Card! I just read the Ender and Bean series(es) and there were both AMAZING. Since then I keep trying to find other books of his. I enjoyed Invasive Procedures... You should check it out. :)

And if anyone has any suggestions, I would absolutely love to hear them!

My favorite band is Angels & Airwaves, for now anyway. lol I go through cycles often, so we'll have to see what catches my interest next. I also really like John Mayer, Maroon 5, Fall Out Boy, Backstreet Boys (Yes, I can admit it. :)), Soundtracks (Transformers is a GREAT soundtrack; Pirates of the Caribbean is pretty good too. Oh! And the Lord of the Rings soundtracks are good too.)Hoobastank, Green Day, Jason Mraz, Michael Buble, Linkin Park, Panic! At the Disco, Death Cab for Cutie, Dashboard Confessional... The list could go on forever.

Food types would be italian and mexican. Honestly though? My favorite thing is just a home cooked meal, no matter what it is. So long as it's edible. lol

I couldn't do without my friends, my family, music, my cell phone, my computer and books. This is of course excluding the shelter, food & water necessities. lol

I think a lot about life in general. What it's about, why we're here and why does it seem to take sooo long to learn things while you're learning them?

Otherwise I seem to be spending an increasing amount of time thinking about sign language. I walk around and hear someone say some kind of idiom and wonder how I could sign it. I have no qualms about walking around work and signing to myself. :)

Probably at home hanging out with my roommates, or taking a nap. lol I work Mon-Fri super early in the morning (and I'm naturally a night owl), so by Friday I'm tired from not getting enough sleep. lol Other times, I'll be calling people up to see if they want to hang out somewhere or even at my house.

Or lately, I've been spending a lot of my free time trying to attend deaf events to hone my skillz. lol

Y'know, I'm pretty open on an individual basis, but not so much on a billboard basis. lol
