While I may be mired in the technical field, I'm also an aspiring writer. Right now I'm working on a novel set in Pittsburgh during Prohibition... with a necromancer/detective. What can I say, I like delving into the weird?

I may be something of a geek, but I'm not one to spend all day on the computer. In the past I've studied martial arts, fencing, gone to graduate school, travelled to California... so I try to keep active, physically as well as socially. Right now I'm back in the gym and the dojo, getting in shape and hoping to earn my black belt in Karate. May take a year or two (it was a long break) but it'll be worth it.

As for my writing... well, I write speculative fiction, but I also venture into fantasy, and I've even got an idea for a horror novel bouncing around in my skull. That's more or less why I write -- I have ideas in my head, and I need to get them *out*

No, I'm not too serious about my faith. I identify as Judeo-Christian, but I consider my take on God my spiritual hypothesis.

I am imaginative, ecclectic, and persistent

I'm trying to become a professional writer (but I haven't given up my day job). After getting a Master of Arts in writing, I think I should do something with it. Not being fully satisfied with the Tech field, I'm always looking for ways to grow into new situations and learn new things.

Haven't given up on the day job. I'm an IT professional, working for a great company. Love my work, even if it does have a few warts. Come Christmas, my job turns into being part of Santa's support team.

Oh, and there's that whole world domination thing too... just sayin'...

Well... there's that writing thing... and I'm told I have a real sharp wit when it comes to humor. And ladies, I'm single jointed too...

I'm a very good cook. In fact, I love cooking for others. Gimme a recipie and I'll try it.

Eyes or voice. One or the other.

I've been able to stare down people who talk in darkened movie theaters. No, really, it did happen. Of course, they were only 15 feet away at the time. So yeah, I've been considered "intense" at times.

My voice is just... distinct... definitely Pittsburgh without the "Yinz." :)

Books? I just read them like the bibliojunkie that I am. Loved "The Left Hand of Darkness." Hated "The DaVinci Code" (threw it across the room after 27 pages). Need to read "The Time Traveller's Wife" and "House of Leaves."

Fave Film(s): Crash, Pitch Black, Cube, and the Saw series.

Music: Anything except rap. I just don't have an opinion there

Food: Good grief, I've got no one fave here...'cept maybe Key Lime Pie.

Oh, and there's my being nutso for Supernatural. Best thing I've ever seen on TV (via NetFlix).

Well, that's part of the problem, isn't it? I have lots of ideas that I scribble out notes on. But most of all I think about how complacent so many people have become in life. That people need to wake up and recognize that there's more to the world than what's being fed to them by some talking head. That faith comes from within, not just some secret password to get into the holy treehouse...

Writing. Something. I'm currently working on a short story that crashes a global version of Wall Street, this beginning a major depression world wide. Fun stuff!

I might also be painting toy soldiers. That's a hobby I picked up from my Dad. Yep, I plan on conquering the world one table top at a time... unless the dice get cold.

I just recently came to the opinion that the sari is the among the sexiest garments a lady can wear. Bear in mind that a relative married into an Indian family, and at the reception I saw a lot of that particular fashion. :)

...if you like odd creative people. Seriously, I can talk about darn near everything, and sometimes I even know what I'm talking about. I have a bit of a sense of humor, ranging from ecclectic to witty to just plain absurd, so be warned. :)
