My self-summary Propose an edit
Self summary is so open ended. Well ,actually, self-summaries are
pretty lame, but here goes.
I like really bad movies, but only if they're so bad that you can
laugh at them. If they're just bad enough to bore the shit out of
me, I'd rather be getting cozy with someone.
I'm working on becoming an animator, but I hate anime. I don't hate
every anime show, just every single one of them.
I love music, I'm learning guitar and piano right now. Well, piano
has taken the backseat to guitar for now. I think I'm getting
somewhat decent at guitar, but I'm probably not gonna serenade
anybody yet.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
Learning to let go and just enjoy the show.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
Drawing and sculpting. I'm also getting decent at guitar. I like to
think I'm a pretty decent cook too.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
I usually try to keep my hair on the weird side. I've had a blue
mohawk, pink hair, as I type this I just have a bleached spot at
the front. Wait wait, now it's dyed black. Oh, oh. Obama won. Now
I'm gonna show how much of a patriot I am.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
A) Neil Gaiman,
Bukowski,
Vonnegut,
Bradbury,
Lovecraft, Neil Stephenson, read all the Harry Potters, and a lot
more.
Mark Twain is the greatest American to have ever lived, and sidling
up next to him in whatever afterlife you choose, would be Vonnegut.
Any recommendations would be awesome.
B) Movies are my
passion in life. Number one movie is The Fifth Element. Other
favorites are all the great horror movies, Night of the Living
Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead, Evil
Dead, Dead Alive (aka Brain-dead). I love too many movies, but here
are a few: Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski, Amelie, Big Fish, Fight
Club, Pink Flamingos (and any other John Waters movies), Tank Girl, The
Science of Sleep, Super Troopers, The Adventures of Mark Twain, The
Rocky Horror Picture Show. I also love making fun of bad movies.
Pauly Shore
movies don't count as bad movies, because he's a brilliant,
brilliant man.
B2) Some of my favorite shows are The Twilight Zone, a lot of
cartoons (especially Rocko's Modern Life, SuperJail, The Venture
Brothers, The Maxx, and Aeon Flux), Lost, Mythbusters, and My Name
is Earl. I hate most reality television.
C)My favorite band is Cake. Other favorites are Andrew Bird,
(Old) Against Me, Andrew Jackson Jihad,
Andrew WK, The
Aquabats (for nostalgia purposes only), The Beatles, Beirut, Ben
Folds Five, Beck, Big D and the Kids Table, Johnny Cash, Charles
Mingus, David
Bowie, Defiance, Ohio, Dethklok, Dio,
Fifteen, Gorillaz, Ghost Mice, Graf Orlock, Kings of Nuthin', The
Kinks, The Lawrence Arms, Anything involving Mike Park, Mischief Brew, The Misfits,
MU330, Oingo Boingo, Paul Baribeau, Ratatat, Radiohead,
The Reverend Horton Heat, Shinobu, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Sufjan
Stephens, This Bike is a Pipe Bomb, They Might Be Giants, Two
Gallants, Tom
Waits, The
Unicorns, The Violent Femmes, World
Inferno/Friendship Society, and a lot more.
I tend to develop crushes on Jazz singers. Latest is Jolie
Holland.
If I ever say, "No I would not like to hear {insert band i haven't
heard of}", I'm not whoever you think I am and I think you need to
kill the cocoon inhabiting bastard who stole my body. Good luck
dealing with the invasion, wherever you are.
I really prefer seeing smaller bands live, not because I hate
popular bands, but I hate the crowds popular bands attract. I'm not
agoraphobic or anything, I just hate getting trampled and small
shows are more intimate.
D)I love trying new foods. Favorites are sushi, curry of all kinds, and
italian.
I hate picky eaters, you're missing out on so much.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
Tangible: A hug pillow, mouthwash/other minty oral hygiene
products, my friends, stories (spoken, written, or acted out),
music, and good food.
Intangible: Love, adventure, friendship, mischief, infamy, and my imagination.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
What do I do for kicks tonight?
What song/technique in guitar/art (guitart) should I learn
next?
Also, what it was like when dinosaurs ruled the earth.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
On drugs. Hopefully with people I like. Or by myself playing
guitar.
I love adventures. If you're down with last-minute roadtrips, then
we should pal around sometime.
I have showed up unannounced at some good friends' houses in San
Francisco and Colorado, and had some crazy fucking times.
I also love urban exploration, if you know some cool places please
tell me about them.
This doesn't mean I don't like staying in and watching a movie most
of the time though. I just have to get moving sometimes.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
My mind has run afoul, and I like it that way.
You should message me if Propose an edit
You like what I like, can handle being assaulted with crass humor,
and if you've got some kinks you need "worked out."
