I am Bright, Cheerful, and Different.

My Self-Summary

I'm a chipper very happy go lucky Brit, I live on Bainbridge Island (though OKC doesn't accept that as a zip code :P) I'm a chef, an antiques dealer and a learner. I love to travel and have many places on my must see list, I'd love to have someone to share the experiences with. I'm not a holiday resort/sit on the beach person. I much prefer to get my teeth into the reality of life in other places, the culture and the history or the geology and scenery.

I'm an active person, I swim with a Masters team at least 3 times a week if not more and I am a Morris Dancer which is a traditional English dance form.

I have many loves and I get very passionate about things that interest me. I run my own online antiques business and also work as a Pantry Chef in a local restaurant.
After many years off I am attempting to get back into playing music again especially the Flute and tin whistle at the moment.
I have spent the last couple of years as admin on RPG games and ended up in the code development side of things. I'm far from being a programmer but I am learning and find my mind has an affinity for that kind of thinking.
I've had an avid love for photography since a very young age and enjoy getting out to shoot new places/subjects. I'm interested in Geology and Anthropology and have studied both over the years.
While I enjoy many varied activities I also love to settle down with a good book or get together with a friend for some cards or a board game or two.

I could go on for hours but I'll try not to so here's a real summery.
I'm fun and adventurous, I enjoy life and everything this earth has to offer. Every experience is to be cherished and appreciated, good or bad. While I like to laugh and be happy I will work hard while I do. I like to solve problems, think outside the box and find ways and means to achieve things people think are impossible. I will try anything once, twice if I don't like it.

What I’m doing with my life

Everything I possibly can, beginning with Enjoying it.

After 20 years of figuring out what I wanted to do with life and 10 years stuck in limbo (I'll explain sometime) I am finally on a forward path with a plan and a goal.

I’m really good at

being modest.

But if I must.... Thinking outside the box, Cooking, Seeing the good in everything.

The first things people usually notice about me

I think it's a toss up between my Eyes, my Smile and my Accent... but the accent is slowly losing.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Music~English Folk/Traditional, Celtic Folk, Rock n Roll, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Gaelic Storm, Beautiful South, Blues, Jazz, Classical, Enjoy listening to Techno and Industrial but don't really get the chance much. I enjoy most good music, I got rhythm and I'm not afraid to use it.

Books ~ Old fav's ~ Great Expectations, Wind in the Willows, Faraway Tree, Tom Sawyer
~ New Fav's ~ Any kind of female PI/female detective novel.
I've read SO much over the years and I don't have a great memory, I just love reading.

Food ~YES! Curry, Thai, Chinese, Eggs any which way, Chocolate, baking, I'm a chef, I like food. Period.

TV ~ I don't have cable but I like to follow Bones and Castle online, and I follow Greys anatomy and House on DVD. I also love getting English shows on DVD. I tend to re-watch my fav shows over and over or at least listen to them while I work.

Movies ~ I love comedies and historic movies that are based in truth rather than complete fiction. I enjoy a good drama and action as well but I tend to avoid horror. Brit flicks are always a good option.

The six things I could never do without

Chocolate/Cooking (can't decide which is more important... cooking with chocolate maybe?)
Intellectual stimulation
Family (I tried, it didn't work)
Friends (see family)
Dancing
Exploration.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How I am going to get where I want to be.

On a typical Friday night I am

Friday nights are never typical though at the moment they are usually spent kicking it with my family. Sometimes you'll find me off on an adventure with my Dance team, but that's usually a Saturday-Sunday jaunt.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I already told you I'm a Morris Dancer, that's about the quirkiest thing I could possibly share.

You should message me if

You want to find out what I'm like in person (no computer screen can come CLOSE to explaining me).
