I am currently a software engineer working at Expedia. I grew up in the much warmer state of Alabama. I have lived in a small town there as well as on a lake and on a farm. So I've done several things from playing sports with friends to driving tractors, playing golf in a cow pasture (be careful where you step), to water sledding.

I ended up finishing highschool in Mobile Alabama by attending a boarding school called the Alabama School of Math and Science. After that I went to Georgia Tech for my undergraduate degree. I've thought about going back to grad school but I'm putting that off for a little bit at least.

I just recently moved to downtown Bellevue from Redmond and I'm liking it a lot. I'm still getting used to it though.

As for my personality I tend to be shy around people I haven't met but I do warm up after a short period of time. I have a dry witty sense of humor (I like puns for example). I also tend to like to hang around with a group of people.

I am currently a software engineer for Expedia though currently I'm not working on anything exciting. I am hoping that this will change soon.

My favorite books are the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (manga). I also enjoy George R R Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. I mostly read fantasy novels and manga.

My favorite movie is probably Shawshank Redemption though I also enjoy watching B movies a lot (and sometimes C or D movies :p) I enjoy a wide variety though and comedy is probably my favorite genre.

For music I like to listen to a lot of electronic music. I mostly listen to various subgenres of electronic music such as Trance. I can listen to and like most types of music except for rap or country music.

I like a lot of different types of food from burgers and steaks to many different ethnic foods. I am a little picky but I usually can find something I like everywhere. I don't like much seafood though I am working on that.

Hanging out with friends either at a club, [karaoke, or at home watching movies/playing video games/board games. I have been going to clubs a bit less and I'm saddened by the lack of karaoke but I want to go to karaoke more often.
