I am a dreamer, a thinker, and very unique.

My Self-Summary

Hello everyone! My name is Katrina, I'm 24 and getting younger by the minute lol. I am a child at heart(but I do act like an adult when necessary).Depending on the situation though, one may find out immediately that I also think very deeply about serious matters. If I am passionate about an issue, whoever happens to be meeting me is going to know about it.

What I’m doing with my life

Currently I work at a grocery store as a cashier. I am in college but I took the semester off to clear my head a bit. I plan on going back in the spring. My major was music and I still love music, but my first love was poetry and I have recently rediscovered it so I have a new goal when I return to college. I like the idea of working at a publishing company perhaps but I'm not sure. I will have to see what the options are.

I’m really good at

I play guitar, keyboard, and mandolin. I write poetry, songs, and currently finding a feel for writing instrumental pieces.

The first things people usually notice about me

When people first meet me, I often hear them tell me I look like Jodie Foster or Melissa Joan Hart lol. Seriously it's true. Another thing they'll see right away is that I find humor in the stupidest things and I like to goof off.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I should read more often, but my 2 favorite books right now are "Annie On My Mind" by Nancy Garden and "Love Speaks Its Name:Gay and Lesbian Love Poetry". "Annie" is an amazing story of first love between two teenage girls. It was published in 1982, a time when books like this weren't often heard of. "Love" is a collection of gay and lesbian love poetry by various gay and lesbian poets. For every person there is at least one poem in this book that will strike a nerve.
I am a lover of lesbian cinema. My favorite movies are Fingersmith, Tipping the Velvet, Aimee and Jaguar, and Madchen in Uniform. My favorite non-lesbian films are Boys On The Side, The Crow, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Slam. I don't really watch alot of TV but when I do I'm usually watching Law and Order:SVU, The Simpsons, or Family Guy.
When it comes to music, I can find a song or composition from just about any genre that will inspire me, although I do tend to lean toward folk, metal, and celtic music.
I LOVE food. My favorite cuisines are Mexican and Chinese. But let's not forget burgers and fries lol.

The six things I could never do without

1.My family

2.My friends

3.My guitar

4.A pencil and paper

5.The internet

6.YouTube

I spend a lot of time thinking about

There isn't a moment of the day that in some way I am not thinking about new ideas for poems or songs. I often wonder about religion vs. spirituality. My take on that is that religion is nothing more than a scare tactic. I believe in God and I firmly believe that He/She/It is not a God of hate but of love. The sooner that some people realize that then maybe churches will be REAL churches once more.

On a typical Friday night I am

It really depends on what I feel like doing.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I sleep with a teddy bear.

You should message me if
