My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a tall and only slightly pretentious art student looking to meet new people. I'm a true Vancouverite, born and bred in Burnaby. I enjoy quiet conversations and good food. I'm always geeking out over something, be it the latest show, old 90's Disney movies, some obscure indie game, or what have you.

I'm very interested in social justice and ecological issues, but I'm kind of a armchair activist, with more talk than action. I'd like to change that in the future. Still, I'm always up for a conversation about social inequality, pipelines, gender issues, etc.

I'm a bit of an introvert; I thrive in small quiet settings, and generally prefer board games, netflix and cuddling over big crowds and loud parties. I also enjoy planning elaborate day long dates full of surprises for anniversaries, Valentines days, birthdays and such, which girls seem to like for some reason.

I'm INTP if that sort of thing interests you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to be an animator. When I enrolled at Emily Carr University, I was sure that I wanted to spend my life animating for some game studio. In the past two years my horizons have broadened to a general passion for animation. I'd still love to work in video games in the future, but I'd also love to work in animated film or TV. Right now I'm just focused on just doing well in my last two years at Emily Carr. After that, the sky's the limit!

I'm also currently working taking souvenir photos at the Vancouver Aquarium, and loving it. It's a fun job that lets me see amazing animals every day, and I get to bring guests into the Aquarium, which makes for fun dates!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm kind of an all around artsy-fart. I'm a constantly improving artist, and I spend a lot of time hunched over my drawing desk and staring at screens. My professional interest is in 3D, but I love working with ink.

I'm also a competent, albeit slightly unorthodox, pianist. I'm really bad at reading sheet music especially sight reading, and any classically trained pianist would tell me that my technique is sloppy at best, but I'm actually quite adept at creating my own arrangements of songs.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am tall. Very very tall. Immediately, before even asking my name, a stranger will ask me "Do you play basketball?" (I don't), or "Oh, your parents must be tall!" (They aren't). It was annoying at first, but I just own it at this point.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
•The internet
•Free time
•Public transit
•My extra-long mattress
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
When I'm bored at work, I'll storyboard animations in my head. Work out shots and scenes, think about storytelling and composition. It's almost meditative. I'm a huge day dreamer, I'll get lost in elaborate fantasies in my head on the bus and nearly miss my stop.

Occasionally I'll turn to a coworker and ask a question like "Do you ever think about what it'd be like if we were in the tanks, and the dolphins waddled around the aquarium on their flippers looking at us?" I get a lot of weird looks.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm not in class on Friday night, I'm drinking beer and watching cheesy horror movies with a friend, or maybe just relaxing at my computer, playing a game, browsing the internet, watching a show, or drawing with my tablet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really wish I had a group to play Dungeons and Dragons with, but I don't have any other friends who are quite that geeky. I feel like kind of a closet nerd sometimes. I wish I had a friend to talk about things like min-maxing in diablo or play European board games with.
