My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a tall and only slightly pretentious art student looking to meet new people. I'm a true Vancouverite, born and bred in Burnaby. I enjoy quiet conversations and good food. I'm always geeking out over something, be it that latest show that everyone's talking about, classic 90's Disney movies, some obscure indie game, or what have you.

I'm an introvert. I thrive in small quiet settings, and usually prefer a quiet night in watching netflix over big crowds and loud parties. That being said, big adventures are fun on occasion. I enjoy planning elaborate day long dates full of surprises for anniversaries, Valentines days, birthdays and such, which girls seem to like for some reason. Also ask me about the time I got rescued by a search and rescue helicopter.

I'm interested in social justice and ecological issues, but I'm kind of a armchair activist, with more talk than action. I'd like to change that in the future. Still, I'm always up for a conversation about social inequality, pipelines, gender issues, etc.

I'm INTP if that sort of thing interests you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to be an animator. When I enrolled at Emily Carr University, I was sure that I wanted to spend my life animating for some game studio. In the past two years my horizons have broadened to a general passion for animation. I'd still be very happy to work in video games in the future, but I'd also love to work in animated film or TV. Right now I'm just focused on just doing well in my last two years at Emily Carr. After that, the sky's the limit!

I'm also currently working, taking souvenir photos at the Vancouver Aquarium, and loving it. It's a fun job that lets me see amazing animals every day!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm kind of an all around artsy-fart. I spend a lot of time hunched over my drawing desk and staring at screens. My professional interest is in 3D, but I love working with ink.

I'm also a competent, albeit slightly unorthodox, pianist. I'm really bad at reading sheet music especially sight reading, and any classically trained pianist would tell me that my technique is sloppy at best, but I'm actually good at arranging songs by ear and from guitar chords.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am tall. Very very tall. On a literally daily basis, strangers will approach me, "Wow, you're so tall! Are your parents tall?" (They aren't), or "Do you play basketball?" (I don't. Do you play miniature golf?). For a long time I wasn't sure what to make of random people I didn't know commenting on my physical appearance, but I've gotten pretty used to it.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
•The internet
•Free time
•Public transit
•My extra-long mattress
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
When I'm bored at work, I'll storyboard animations in my head. Work out shots and scenes, think about storytelling and composition. It's almost meditative. I'm a huge day dreamer. I regularly get lost in elaborate fantasies on the bus and nearly miss my stop.

Occasionally I'll turn to a coworker and ask a question like "Do you ever think about what it'd be like if we were in the tanks, and the dolphins waddled around the aquarium on their flippers looking at us?" I get a lot of weird looks when I'm in those moods.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably scrambling to get my homework done for the following week. Barring that, I'm drinking beer and/or watching cheesy horror movies with a friend, or maybe just relaxing at my computer, playing a game, browsing the internet, watching a show, or drawing with my tablet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really wish I had a group to play Dungeons and Dragons with, but I don't have any other friends who are quite that geeky. I feel like kind of a closet nerd sometimes.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
•you want to get drunk and play scrabble
•you'd like to tell me your favourite disney movie
•you're generally attracted to artsy and/or geeky dudes and something about me happens to wrinkle your brain a little.

On a slightly more serious note, a past girlfriend once described me as "More Lexus than Ferrari". I've always been vaguely offended by that sentiment but I can't deny that it tends to ring true. If you're looking for a crazy gas-guzzling sports car adventure, I'm probably not who you're looking for. On the other hand, If you're looking for a sweet, quiet, no-nonsense relationship, you should message me.
