What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently considering early retirement because Clickhole has done a better job at social justice movement campaigning than I ever will:

Other than that, I'm teaching people to fix their own bikes because getting greasy is awesome.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being absurdly energetic and snarky as fuck.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Almost certainly it's the whole male-with-beard thing.

Otherwise, it's that I'm almost always carrying a giant backpack with a Charmander on it. Or that my pants have climbing chalk on them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Snow Crash, Little Brother, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Possessive Investment in Whiteness, Yes means Yes!, Ella Baker's Biography, Saga, The Ethshar series, and I'm currently working my way through This Changes Everything because I'm late to the game.

Movies/TV: Sansho the Bailiff, Kung Fu Panda, Patlabor 2, Fargo, All That Heaven Allows, Oldboy, Goodbye Lenin!, Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, The Wire, Freaks and Geeks, The Guild, Veronica Mars, Doctor Who, Buffy, and Avatar: The Last Airbender — I'm not-so-secretly a huge nerd with a film degree.

Music: Fugazi, The White Stripes, Double Dagger, Metric, Bela Fleck, Dan Deacon, Rebirth Brass Band, and plenty else. This week, though, I'm listening to the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack non-stop because I still don't understand how it's so damn good.

I also have a serious love of board games and will almost always say yes to a game of Dominion or Pandemic or BSG or Settlers or chess or a D&D expedition or really any other board game.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I would probably be really happy with just four things:

- A whiteboard
- Coffee
- My bike
- A bag to carry my whiteboard and coffee while riding my bike.

Also a giant table. And books. And spontaneity. And people. But those last two aren't things so I'm taking them as freebies.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Adventuring. There are so many beautiful places to see and I want to take my backpack and tent and go see as many of them as I can. Maybe I'll take pictures. But I probably won't because I usually forget.

Radical politics. Because there's a lot to do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Climbing. Or biking. Or playing board games. Or at a museum/book talk/thing. Or traveling. Or working. Or some other random excusion. And probably wishing that I could be at a roller derby bout, but those are on Saturday nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
At one point I could do most of the Call Your Girlfriend dance at least as well as Taran (though without the jacket):

Also, I misspelled my own name on here. Oops.
