My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm nice, I think, people tell me so. I've lived in Melbourne for about 3 years since it became clear London no longer wanted me. A New South Welshman by birth, I ask you not to hold that against me.
I believe in organised Chaos.
I believe in Balance in all things.
I'm taking this seriously. Honest.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a full time, bona fide tea merchant. I blend tea, i Sell tea, i Drink tea. (especially as an alternative to real work.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, Subjective reasoning, Drinking. Not necessarily in that order or at all....
I like making food for people, hosting dinner parties, stressing out, ending up pleasantly fed and drunk.
I also play music sometimes (guitar, bass, keyboards) but the didn't have a section for "is adept but mediocre" so this will have to do.
The first things people usually notice about me

My Flatcaps and the fact i'm "not from these parts"

Books: "My Family and other Animals" Gerald Durrell, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" - Truman Capote, "The Big Sleep" Raymond Chandler, "Under Milk wood" - Dylan Thomas, Alices Adventures In Wonderland AND Through The Looking Glass - Lewis Carrol. (And anything Niel Gaimen ever wrote.)
((Oh and Douglas Adams))
More than is worth listing at this point.
Movies: Everything ever made by Wes Anderson. The films of Jean Pierre Jeunet, Godard, some Hitchcock, Michel Gondry, some Terrence Mallick, a bit of Tim Burton and a dash of David Lynch for good measure and bad dreams.
Shows: just bring me HBO. The Wire, Treme, Game of Thrones, Girls, Board to Death, Deadwood. Its all good
OUTSIDE OF HBO: Bring me Adult Swim!
Of not either of those: Adventure time!, Arrested development, The Thick of it, QI, Peep Show, anything with David Mitchell, Hugh Laurie or Steven Fry.

And just cause I'm a MAVERICK, my favorite RADIO CHANNELS AND PROGRAMS! (I know, it's like naming your favorite dinosaurs): 3RRR (especially aural text), PBC, FBI, WYNC (Radiolab et al), This american life and BBC 1-6. Also Ted talks and any recording buy David Sedaris.

Food: Seriously?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1)A decent sense of self worth
2) Alcohol (mostly Wine or Beer, helps with step one I've found.)
3) A decent knife set.
4) AIR (both the band and the vital mix of gasses)
5) The ideas of balance and justice in life.
6) Both Brackets () and ellipsies ...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What to cook, what to listen to, what my friends might be up to, the general when where why how who of existence and whether i can pull off plus fours. (The answer to the last is emphatically no, but i wish it weren't)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
at the Drunken Poet with workmates, celebrating our midweek doldrums as most of us work weekends. Then home for a post drinks challenge of wits with my oven to make food. I ALMOST always win.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That i'm not good at admitting private things to masses of unknown people. Surely that's what makes them private after all...
