Who am I? I am a beautiful woman but I'm more than my beauty. I am curvy but I am more than a number on a scale. I am an intelligent woman. I am a passionate woman. I am a beautiful woman of substance. I have a BS degree in accounting but no longer work as one. I was unhappy as an accountant and had always wanted to be a nurse, so I am now in nursing school trying to fulfill that dream. I enjoy having fun and laughing. I love to travel. To date, my favorite places on earth are Paris, France and New York City but there are so many other places I would like to visit in and out of the US. I enjoy reading. I read fiction and non-fiction, young adult to adult, anything from mindless reading to serious reading. I enjoy some girlie things like sewing, quilting and other crafty things. I also enjoy the arts (plays, opera, concerts, museums, etc.), cooking, antiquing, short weekend trips, camping, canoeing, the beach anytime but prefer off-season and the mountains anytime. I go to a gym to work out 5 days a week. A couple of days a week, I go back later in the day to do a second round of cardio. I think I would like to learn how to kayak and to play golf. I prefer cooler weather. I try hard to stay abreast of current events and the news but that is sometimes hard while in nursing school because I'm always studying. I strive to live my life with the same characteristics that I mention below in “What do I want in a partner…”
What do I want in a partner you ask? He must be a Christian. His definition of love should not only come from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, he must strive to live it as well. He must have love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, common courtesy and honesty. Don’t get me wrong, I know no one is perfect and we are all a work-in-progress but my man should strive for the above characteristics. A good sense of humor and laughter are essential. He must like to travel and having at least a small adventurous side as well as a spontaneous side. It would be awesome if he enjoys cuddling. Must be a strong kisser and hugger. Having a weak kiss or hug is like having a weak, noodle-like handshake. Further, I've learned over the years that looks can fade but what's on the inside does not. If the inside is handsome, then the outside will follow, at least in my eyes.
Other thoughts: I believe to be a happy, well-rounded, couple each should enjoy their own hobbies as well as share some interests. Communication is the main key to a successful relationship. Respect is a must, not just for each other but also for the thoughts and feelings of each. Patience doesn’t hurt either. As to children, I have 3 grown children. I would prefer that whomever I get involved with either has grown children like me or no children, BUT, if the right man comes along and he has one or more teenagers, I'm not going to let that be a deal breaker. However, he must not want more children because I cannot have anymore.
