My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I enjoy a few outdoor activities such as sitting on the deck, on a cool crisp morning, reading a good book and drinking a hot cup of coffee or tea. I prefer cooler weather. I enjoy the beach and mountains equally. Traveling is a favorite thing to do and definitely want to do a lot more of it. Maybe that's why I want to become a travel nurse so I can do just that. Some of the things I enjoy are hiking, antiquing and reading just to name a few. I used to play piano pretty well but have not done so in 30 years. Let me tell ya, it's not like riding a bike! I'm going to have to take lessons again, in which I intend on doing after I graduate. I have some other hobbies/interests as well...girly ones, like quilting, sewing, making creams, body scrubs and lotions from essential oils. Further, I enjoy reading and learning about survivalism/prepper stuff although I am nowhere near a fanatic about it. As to my reading habits, nursing books make for such intense reading that between semesters, if I read at all, it is usually something light and mindless.

I am comfortable dressing up and going out or dressing down and staying in. I enjoy museums, plays, concerts, the opera and movies. I enjoy the simpler things in life as well as the finer things. I have never been a pampered woman although I think I would like being pampered at least a little. I'm a pretty low-maintenance woman and don't require a lot to make me happy. I only require love, affection and some attention, and I don't mean constant attention. I like my alone time too. I also go to the gym 3-5 times a week. It would be great to find a man that would enjoy going to the gym with me.

I value a man who is a Christian that strives to walk his talk and is willing to go to church with me regularly. Generosity, chivalry, the ability to keep your word, a good communicator and a good sense of humor are traits also valued. I am looking for a special man who, besides the above characteristics, is intelligent, patient, laid back and has a willingness and passion to travel and see the world. I like a man that is a strong kisser and hugger. A little romance goes a long way with me.

Thanks for reading my profile. I hope to hear from some of you soon.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am going back to college to get a nursing degree with the possibility of continuing on to get a Masters degree to be able to teach at the college level at some point. As an accountant, working for small family owned companies, I was unfulfilled. As a nurse, I am excited about being able to help people.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am good at cooking. Oh, and unfortunately for me, I'm really good at putting my foot in my mouth. This usually causes laughs for others but embarrassment for me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Quite a few people tell me my skin is beautiful. Does that count?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Although I love to read, most of my reading these days are nursing books. When I do have the opportunity to read for fun, I choose light, mindless novels to read. I have a few favorite authors that I enjoy.

I like a lot of different movies but I draw the line at horror movies. I love old black and white movies too.

As to TV, I like The Big Bang Theory (it's about the only comedy I watch), Continuum, Cedar Cove, House of Cards, Game of Thrones and others but I really don't get to watch much during the semester.

I like most genres of music. I grew up in the 70's so I really enjoy some of the classic rock that came out of that era. But I also like 20's-60's music too. I'm not fond of rap music but I will admit to rarely liking a rap song or two. Well, ok, so I like music. It's really a song by song choice as to whether I like it or not.

I love food! I enjoy cooking, especially if I have someone special to cook with. My biggest issue, I hate cleaning up after. I consider it a necessary evil. I love French, Italian, Chinese, get the drift.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Air conditioner
Air Conditioner
Oh, and did I mention an air-conditioner? (or a cooler climate.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What life is going to be like once I become an RN at 52 years old.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Studying, while I'm in school. Between semesters, I catch up on my sleep, read, really whatever poofs out my crinoline.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
A lady does not speak of private matters publicly. I will say that I love a lot of foreign accents...British, Australian, French, Italian, Scottish, Irish...again, you get the drift.
