My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born and raised in NH, I'm a bit of a country boy. University in Montreal, I'm a bit of a city boy. I have a hard time with places in between. In thought, I'm a bit more tolerant of the gray shades but respect those who know what they think. Mostly I live in my head and it's a cheery place- Until I go to the dark side- that's where Jonah lives. He speaks to me in my head and tells me to do bad things.

I am a powerhouse, meek, and conflicted
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working for the man. Wondering how much I'll never know. Rejoicing in the splendor.

I mean, come on. It's a LIFE- I'm not boiling it down to a paragraph.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Apparently, I'm pretty good at dodging these questions.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People notice me?

As for what they notice first you'd have to ask them. I don't ask what people notice first about me. Should I be? Is that socially acceptable? Am I a social misfit? That explains so much. This question has torn me apart inside.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm all over the place- I actually liked "Anna Karenina," even though my friend Neal told me she killed herself when I was only half way through the tome. Lighter fair- "The Eyre Affair" was quite fun. Favorite book is probably "If on a Winter's Night a Traveler." Those crazy Italian Futurists are just so readable.
One too many Film classes in university has led to an affection for Bergman and Greenaway. "The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and her Lover" is awesome, though Netflix still doesn't have it. "Blade Runner" is a modern classic and I'll confess to having all the Bourne movies. I like a good Hollywood flic.
Music- I'm already rambling so let's just say I've listened to The Decemberists, Feist and Emily Haines today. I've been exploring Final Fantasy (not the video game) and I'm way impressed. GoldFrapp. Arcade Fire is playing whilst I type. Life without modern jazz like Joel Haines and Secret Society is a solemn affair. I can be counted on to play the ninth symphony way too loud.
Food- I'll need much more space. I like to cook and I love to eat.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family, most of them. Friends, a couple of them. Great food. Great wine. Challenging conversation. The time to enjoy these five things. Times a bit of a weird answer but, hey, without it we're all screwed.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why I think so much?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Friday night? Are you kidding me.

I'm dragging myself home from another far too long day at the office, getting some nosh, some wine, maybe a chat with a friend or two. Then I'm tucking myself in for a little shut eye.

Saturday night's right around the corner.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have privates.
