Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm passionate about politics, history, social justice and I love
to talk, but you'd have to ask someone else if I'm a good
conversationalist. I'm a very loyal person, sometimes to a fault. I
try to live life in line with my values and this past year I've
become a fan of buddist thought, not into the religion aspect-but
geeze-who can't learn something from a society who has spent
hundreds of years thinking about thinking? But...I don't like
rules. I can be on time but I have to work at it. I do have a sense
of humor about myself and about life, however wry. I've embraced
what I've created in my life, good or bad. I don't like
restrictions on my personal freedom but I also understand how to
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm back in school for the long haul. Friends say I'm a bit of a
geek but I don't know what they are talking about. I love
artifacts, historical places and the natural world. I devour books
and value intellectual and subversive discourse with friends and
foes alike. I'm also quick to laugh and definitely have a silly
side. (This is all just way too awkward.) I'm also reentering the
dating scene. (Yup-definitely awkward) I'm probably not looking for
serious just yet...but who knows...sometimes life can surprise us
like that. In fact, not looking is usually when life does surprise,
or so I've found.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

that-I would say-depends on what you are looking for...

Dorothy Dunnett, Dorothy Allison, Barbara Robinette Moss, Milan
Kundera, Adam Hochschild, Colleen McCullough, ...blah blah
Movies....mostly the sad depressing kind like Sometimes in April,
Pan's Labyrinth, The Stoning of Soraya M., Children of Men, but of
course there is lighter fare like LOTR....
T.V...not a big fan but the British generally do it right, and
let's not forget our own Stewart, Colbert, Arrested Development,
Music...The Civil Wars, Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss and Robert
Plant, Adele, John Denver, Cat Stevens, Mumford and Sons, Fleet
Foxes, Bon Iver, Florence + The Machines, Modest Mouse,
Food...love it all...and love to cook it even more
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
a good book, a good friend, a cup of tea, my car, access to
information, fresh fruits and veggies
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
with friends, talking, laughing, debating, but I could also be
taking a bike ride as I catch the sun setting over the river or
home reading...it all depends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I like sugar in my tea
