My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a professor. My field is theology and my specialties are liturgy and the history of doctrine. I love teaching and I enjoy my students very much. Denominationally speaking, I'm an orthodox Anglican.

I'm also a person with far too many hobbies. My chief artistic outlet is photography, although I also used to paint. I'm a big-time movie buff, preferring classic Hollywood films, including silent films. I also enjoy foreign films. I'm an amateur radio operator (call sign n9sqe)--I collect stamps--I enjoy genealogy--I'm a classical music listener--and I'm an avid reader (I love mysteries and anything having to do with history, and also ancient Greek and Roman literature).

I'm also the daddy of my cat Technika, who is my pride and joy.

I am intellectual, conservative, and artsy

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Catching spelling errors, grammatical mistakes and other writing problems. It really bugs me when I find them in print.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My bald head and my big waistline.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I'm always reading books about photography. I also love mysteries.

Movies: Casablanca, the Harold Lloyd comedies, Broken Blossoms, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Metropolis, the RKO Astaire-Rogers films.

Music: The Wagner operas, Prokofiev (especially the ballets), Ravel, Debussy, nineteenth-century art songs--and absolutely no rap or country and western.

Foods: I love foreign food, and in truth I will eat practically anything--which helps explain my weight problem. But please no caviar or oysters.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
(1) The Internet, (2) the Book of Common Prayer, (3) my cat, Technika, (4) my iMac, (5) my iPad (6) big slabs of rare prime rib.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Theological and political issues of the day.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Talking to friends on IRC and various Instant Messenging services, while simultaneously messing around on Usenet and the WWW.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a small birthmark on my left leg, above the ankle.
