My self-summary
Confident, calculated, and direct. A smartass, but I hold myself and those around me to high standards. Always honest. A deft mind. Empathic. Contemplative. Mature and open communicator. Tolerant of others' views. Often accused of being "too serious," yet most don't understand my humor. I value honesty and integrity.

I drift toward eccentric, outcast, misunderstood people because I find them interesting. My sense of humor, depending on the day, can be sarcastic, morbid, and/or slapstick, but it's always there. I'm probably the most immature and ridiculous responsible adult you'll ever know. I'm a damn riot and my family thinks I should have been in comedy instead of cooking.

INFJ if it means anything to you.
What I’m doing with my life
Full-time professional chef. I'm pretty badass at what I do. Someday I'll own my own business, but for now, practicing with someone else's money seems like a great idea. I work in one of San Diego's finest restaurants.
I’m really good at
Entertaining. Empathic interaction. Thinking outside the box. Being sarcastic. Sudoku. Getting motivated and staying disciplined. Nazi-ing the hell out of spelling. Rifling through bookstore shelves for obscure cookbooks.

And unsurprisingly, cooking. Tell me what you want and I can make it or get close.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm an avid reader - have recommendations? I'm into fantasy, sci-fi, fiction, and classics, but if it's a good read, I'll pick it up. I recommend The Five People you Meet in Heaven and The Cheating Culture to everyone I know.

Movies and shows - probably the same stuff you watch. Lots of comedy. I probably listen to a lot of the same music you listen to, too. And some you don't. Ask me if it's your thing, I just don't want to make a big-ass list.
The six things I could never do without
1 New and interesting sensory stimulants
2 Running with my ipod
3 Toothpicks
4 Nuka Cola
5 Humor
6 Computer and stable internet connection
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Farm-fresh vegetables, line-caught fish, and the myriad other classy ingredients I'd like to snatch up and work with. How to best start the tattoo I've wanted for years. When the end of the world will come about and who the zombies will eat first. What people are thinking while I'm watching them do ridiculous things in public. Where to eat next. Lust. Love. Our basic primitive human functions. Sleeping all day. Working all day. Why I haven't won the lottery yet (even though I don't buy tickets).
On a typical Friday night I am
In a hot, noisy, testosterone-filled kitchen, knee-deep in grenade pins and food tickets. There's a lot of yelling, cussing, and shit-talking involved.

I work hard and after work, I like sedentary activities. Let's play cards (cards against humanity!) or board games, cook together, watch some bad movies in a Mystery Science Theatre 3000 fashion, or find an intimate show or dive to go to.

I'm into off-road racing, fishing, camping, and just about anything outdoorsy and physical. In addition, anything having to do with sports, the arts, literature, culture, paintballing, and diffusing bombs is a safe bet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a professional chef but I like Taco Bell.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–35
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
--you have your life in order and you love yourself.

--you've got a strong nerd/geek gene of ANY type.

--you can keep up with my witty sarcasm.

--you're not going to waste my time with wishy-washy bullshit or drama.

--you think it's sexy when a man smells like duck fat and steak and sports fresh burns on his arms.

I'm here because my life does not fit into the classic 9 to 5 schedule and it makes dating difficult. Additionally, I tend to reject many of our societal dating "norms" in regards to "the chase." Ain't nobody got time for that. It's attractive when a woman *reciprocates* interest. It's not one-sided! For me, a connection will depend on who you are and how we mingle. Good things take time, commitment, communication, and trust.
