My self-summary
Greetings :)
I'm originally from MT. Came to Portland in 2001 for culinary school (Portland). Moved away for a while, then moved to Corvallis in 2005. Couldn't stay away from the Northwest it seems. I actually like the rain. The food/beer/wine scene is one of the best in the country too; it's a foodie's paradise.
I moved back to Portland in June (2013) after being in Corvallis for about 8 years. I'm excited to be back in this town!

Instead of going too much further on a lengthy bio, here's 15 choice words that describe me...

What I’m doing with my life
I recently left work at Oregon State University as a chef, and started a new job in Portland as an Exec Chef. But I have since just left that position so that I can depart from the drudgery of the corporate culinary management sector. Leaving that job has freed up my time so that I may pursue my own business at this point doing in-home culinary instruction for private clients. I figured Portland has the ideal demographics to make that type of business sustainable, but we'll see what happens! Website should be available shortly, so look for my business soon at www.culinaryconfidencepdx.com :) !
I’m really good at
Making some gourmet chow.
Also good at: contemplation, recycling, removing clutter, not coordinating the colors of my outfits, playing dumb, being thrifty, picking out funny greeting cards, pretending to know how to fix things, learning life's lessons the hard way, and listening.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height (or lack of), my calves...
The food on my face?
The six things I could never do without
My wits, gummy worms, a sharp chef's knife, my bike, sunscreen, and rain.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to eat, how to move on to the next step in life, making creative menus for work or dinner parties, and trying to remember the things that I was suppose to remember.
On a typical Friday night I am
having dinner and/or drinks with friends, relaxing at home, watching a movie, playing video games with a buddy, out dancing, or maybe camping in the woods.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I actually enjoy boxed mac and cheese.

But for the record, I do like homemade better. Especially finished in the oven with melty, browned cheese on top. Numyumyum!
