Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm originally from MT. Came to Portland in 2001 for culinary
school (Portland). Moved away from Oregon for a while, then came
back (Corvallis) in 2005. Couldn't stay away from the Northwest it
seems. I actually like the rain. The food/beer/wine scene is one of
the best in the country too; it's a foodie's paradise.
I moved back to Portland in June 2013 following a career move.
Although that position was ultimately not for me, I was inspired to
start a new project (ie: small business) doing something that I
LOVE.... helping people learn to cook! It's been a blast so far
There's always so much back story to everyone's life experience.
I'd love to share more in person or an on-line chat if you're
curious to know more :).
Instead of going too much further on a lengthy bio, here's 15
choice words that describe me...
Feel free to interpret! :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently, I'm staying fairly busy with a fulltime chef position at
the Univ of Portland and running my small business on my off days
(if I have clients scheduled). I still find time to have fun
though! I value my free time and I love to spend it doing something
fun like a bike ride, seeing a concert or movie, going out to a new
restaurant, or really anything active outside, as long as I have my
sunscreen. Ha! I'm so Irish...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making some gourmet chow.
Also good at: contemplation, recycling, removing clutter, not
coordinating the colors of my outfits, playing dumb, being thrifty,
picking out funny greeting cards, pretending to know how to fix
things, learning life's lessons the hard way, and listening.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height (or lack of), my calves...
The food on my face?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I am too overwhelmed to put anything specific in this section. I
like lots of things. LOTS of things... Ask me about it!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My wits, gummy worms, a sharp chef's knife, my bike, sunscreen, and
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What to eat, how to move on to the next step in life, making
creative menus for work or dinner parties, and trying to remember
the things that I was suppose to remember.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
having dinner and/or drinks with friends, relaxing at home,
watching a movie, playing video games with a buddy, out dancing, or
maybe camping in the woods.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I actually enjoy boxed mac and cheese.
But for the record, I do like homemade better. Especially finished
in the oven with melty, browned cheese on top. Numyumyum!
