My self-summary
So this is were we write our elevator pitch then? My favorite thing to do in an elevator is look at whoever is in it with me and "Right, if this door opens and there are zombies, we should work together." Unfortunately, this hasn't happened yet, and most people exit the elevator quickly!

I personally think I'm might be awesome, but then I remember I have to interact with people, and when I ask them, they usually reply with "Shut up Chris, get back into the corner".

Sometimes you need to take things seriously, but I'm not usually involved when that is happening. I like fooling around, making jokes and generally not taking life to seriously. Unless it's about deciding what pizza to get. That's serious business.

I'm usually the first on the dance floor, and the last one to go home.

I'm passionate about everything I do: work, hobbies, opinions. If you're not passionate about something, then why give it any time? I like to debate everything and anything, but I am never scared to admit I am wrong.
What I’m doing with my life
Besides from sleeping, I work. I'm fairly lucky and have a job I enjoy, and work people I don't routinely want to smack in the face. For some reason my boss seems to think I know what I am doing, and has given me a load of interesting responsibility. Or, more likely, he's just lazy.

I love my job so much I even like to tell lots of other people how I do things, and speak at conferences. Nothing says "Oh yea, I'm awesome" than standing in front of a load of geeks and telling them "Hey man, look at this!" Except when they heckle, well, heckling can be fun if they are witty. The best insults should always be witty, then it stings less. Negative feedback is more productive than positive.
I’m really good at
My job, when I am in the mood.

I can kinda cook. Well, I cheat, I have learned a load of recipes I really like, tweaked them until I really liked them, and then subjected a load of people to them with dinner parties. So far, no casualties, so I think it's going well. I have some really big, fancy cookbooks, and when I have people round, I like to take them out and use them to hold the kitchen door open. If anyone asks if I had read them, I tell them the truth: how can I when they are holding the door open?

Hugs, I rock at hugs. But then again, who doesn't?

Talking to strangers. I love talking to random people, everyone has something amazing to share. Much to the annoyance of my friends, I will start to random people and ask them to hangout with us.

I might be good at fashion, if that's something you can be good at, it's pretty subjective. I like dressing well, or, more apt, I like dressing that makes me feel comfortable. I dress for myself, which makes it easier. I love to rock a bowtie!

Hat parties.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a strange accent, apparently, and no one believes I am from the West coast, mainly due to my darker skin tone and black hair.

A lot of people tell me I have nice eyes, but I point out they are mine, and they can't have them. Unless I die, then anyone can have them. I even have a card that says so, as well as the rest of me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love reading. Actual books. Although I am a geek, and work as a software developer, I still haven't been completely sold on things like the Kindle. I love an actual book, I love rereading books, and how a book ages with you. My favorite authors include King, Pratchett, Ian M Banks (haven't really gotten into his Ian Banks stuff). I'm a sucker for dystopian fiction: Orwell, Husley, Zamyatin. I read a lot of non-fiction too; tech, science, software development things. Man, I hate writing lists! I love a book that keeps me turning the page, and I have been know on the occasion to stay up all night to finish a book. Work the next day is never fun though!

My all time favorite movie is Jaws/ Richard Dreyfuss as Hooper is one of my all-time favourite performances, and the scene when he is discussing USS Indianapolis has me at the edge of my seat every time. My current favorite movie is Moonrise Kingdom. The cinematography is stunning, the opening scene's are especially beautiful. I am a huge Wes Anderson fan, and love every one of his movies.

I don't watch much TV, so nothing really too current, but I love things like Arrested Development, Mr Bean, the Office, Mad Men, Monty Python, 30 Rock, Harvey Birdman, Venture Bros , Wilfred, Workaholics, Fawlty Towers, Only Fools and Horses.

I love new music, I constantly search for new and different music, any genre. I have to rhythm though. I was drinking with a buddy who plays in a band, and he sat me down, looked me in the eye and said "Chris, I love you, I love you're taste in music, you have good taste in music. But man, you have no rhythm. When you bop to a song, you are always off. But you always look like your enjoying it, so I guess that counts for something." As you can imagine, when I tried to learn an instrument, RSPCA was called because someone was sure I was torturing cats. Currently on my play list I have: Neon Trees, Burial, Gang Gang Dance, Echo Lake, Foster The People, Youngblood Hawle, Soley.

Food... I like food, nomnomn. I love Mexican food (I have to, I'm partly Mexican) and pizza... and most things. Cheese and toast is also a personal favorite, nomnom comfort food. I like to experiment and try to cook something new every week.
The six things I could never do without

Counting to six
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The vastness of the universe, the complexity and improbability of realty. It blows my mind! Also, cheese and toast.

My job too, I have to keep things moving forwards, and it takes a lot of thinking about.
On a typical Friday night I am
Dragging work colleagues out, talking stranger to get them to know me well enough to want to hug and dance with me. I love going out, meeting people and dancing. To be honest, that's what you'll find me doing every night of the week.

When I'm not out, I will probably be throwing a dinner party. I love cooking for groups of people, and always have something new for people to try
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If I watch Batteries Not Included, I will cry. I watched it when I was a wee guy and git struck a cord, and ever since then, I have not been able to watch it without shedding a bucket of tears. I may or may not also be a sucker for romcoms...
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 20–32
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, activity partners, long-distance penpals
You should message me if
If you want to hangout, talk rubbish, or the nature of reality or make plans for the zombie apocalypse.

You don't have a duck face picture.

If you want to dance, I'll dance really badly (no rhythm, see), but I won't care, and you can slowly leave the dance floor and pretend you don't know me.

If you want to listen to interesting music, and share bands, maybe sit on either side of the room, and throw paper airplane at each other.

Your horoscope said you will meet someone tall, dark and handsome. I have the first two covered anyway...
