My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I live in Asheville which is pretty neat, I suppose. Except for that whole small town type deal where everyone seems to be linked in a nearly incestuous fashion. Like most Ashevillians, I'm originally from Florida. Thus I don't like cold weather. I also don't like horror films, and I have an irrational fear of loud noises.

I like roller coasters, hiking, and generally having a good time. Karaoke can be fun. Dancing can be too though I don't do much of either.

I tend to prefer walking over driving. I'm a vegan. I have pet hermit crabs. I also like rats and cats. I have two rats, a cat, and I recently adopted a dog. I seem to be good with words. I seem to be socially awkward when I'm socially active but that's okay because those who I tend to be socially active with tend to love me unconditionally. I have recently become aware of the fact that I am lucky enough to have some incredible friends.

I think smoking is gross and heavy drinking is a turn off. I'm not straight edge but I've dated an alcoholic before and it kind of scarred me.

I'm not a tidy person, in fact I am pretty much devoid of any organizational skills. My apartment is a cluttered mess and some people say that I'm something of a hoarder. Maybe I am, I don't know. I do know that I tend not to collect rotting banana peels and the like and I can see the floor of my apartment so I think that makes me pretty okay. Plus I have no problem showering, brushing my teeth, and doing laundry. I like to wear clean clothes, I just don't like folding them.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working part time and going to school. Eventually I'll have a degree in biochemistry... then pharmacy school.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing, however I live in a perpetual state of laziness and writer's block.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
According to my friend Tyler it's that I always carry a satchel.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I tend to like to read, I haven't been doing much lately though... My favorite book is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, like the whole thing, not just that individual book. If I had to pick a favorite book from that then I would have to say the last one: Mostly Harmless. It's just dark. And awesome.

Still on the reading thing: authors that I do follow whose books I purchase and tear through as soon as they come out are Carl Hiaasen and Christopher Moore.

Movies can be enjoyable. I'm not really too into massive amounts of violence, action, torture, and the like. I cannot and will not watch A Clockwork Orange so don't ask me to.

Some of my favorites are: Secretary, Garden State, Across the Universe, Once, American Beauty, Stranger Than Fiction, Amelie, But I'm a Cheerleader, Big Fish, Mirrormask, The Darjeeling Limited, Chasing Amy, Moulin Rouge, Oliver and Company, Donnie Darko, and Penelope.

As far as TV goes, I don't watch a lot. I have Hulu Plus and Netflix so I sometimes watch Bones, or The Daily Show, or the Colbert Report... or Glee (shh). Also, someone recently got me hooked on Doctor Who.

Other stuff though, I like all Star Trek though Enterprise is my favorite. ER was good for over half of its run. Newsradio was good, 30Rock, Buffy, House, Sports Night... The West Wing was excellent. I recently watched the full series on Netflix.

I tend to think of music as a good thing. My favorite station is 98.1. I listen to lots of stuff though I'll say my favorite band is Guster. I love me some Duhks, and I've seen Counting Crows a bunch of times, and Ben Folds is good, Ben Lee too... Ben Kweller though, I could take him or leave him. I've been digging on some Lisa Hannigan lately so naturally I also enjoy some Damien Rice. Barenaked Ladies, The Dresden Dolls, Ingrid Michaelson... the list goes on and on.

I'm not really into rap though, and what I really can't stand is screaming death metal. It upsets me. And really ramped up electronic music where there are like a million tracks going and it makes you feel like you're about to have an aurally induced seizure. Yeah. Not that.

And finally we get to food. I like food. I really like food. I have this tendency to gorge myself. I enjoy ordering the everything. Well, the sort of everything because I am vegan. I mean, I'm not an evil vegan that freaks out whenever someone eats meat around her. I mean, come on. Once upon a time I managed a Subway. I can deal. I also am not an uber strict vegan. I mean, I shop vegan, I cook vegan, but sometimes I have to cheat when some nonvegan delicious delicious chocolate somehow ends up on my desk at work.

My favorite restaurant in Asheville is Plant. It still can't hold a candle to my favorite restaurant on the planet which is Sublime. But that's in Fort Lauderdale, FL...

I'm really big on Asian food. Thai food, Japanese food, Chinese food... it's all good.

I also like Mexican. And then there's Italian... and yeah, have I mentioned that I like food?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I don't think one really comes to know what they really can't do without until some catastrophe occurs or some terrible regime steps in but I'm supposing that this is based on my current spoiled existence and not the actual necessities such as food and oxygen so...

1. My lappy (with AC adapter)
2. My cell phone (with charger)
3. Electricity
4. Internet
5. People to care about (it is assumed that the feeling is mutual)
6. Umm... I'm torn. I want to say my car but I hate driving. I need the car to get to my job so that I can earn money so I can pay for the other things that I say I need... like my apartment, which I haven't actually mentioned. Oh the hell with it. I'm tired of this list.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think about many things...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
... I don't know.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm really not sure. The thing is I really don't have much of a filter so... yeah.

you're not a douche bag, you can be patient with me because I'm kinda sorta damaged goods, and you're okay with the fact that to date me is to date my dog.
