My self-summary
I am someone who loves to have fun exploring the eccentricities of life.

I love to explore as much new experiences as possible. I love anything that challenges me mentally. I enjoy acting in plays and playing Quidditch (was captain of my team at school) according to the rules of the IQA (http://www.iqaquidditch.com/), and I am so happy that I found an awesome Quidditch team to join now that I am out of school. I also really enjoy puzzle hunts, especially in formats reminiscent of the MIT Mystery Hunt. I very much love trying new board games - of the Euro-game style (I am not talking Monopoly/Risk).

I am very analytical. I love to seek out the answer to as many interesting questions I come across. I absolutely love learning and enjoy watching any tv shows, movies and read any books that I believe can give me a new perspective. I constantly attempt to self-improve when I find a trait that I don't like as much.

I love spending time with those close to me. This may sound a little weird, but I get a lot out of enjoying other people's enjoyment and love to see people truly having a good time.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a professional Quidditch Player, typically I play Chaser. Having graduated and so no longer the Captain of MIT's team, the MIT Marauders, I have recently found an official Quidditch team here in the Bay Area. I also moonlight as a Software Engineer at Google since the salaries of Quidditch players is not so great yet.

I spend my downtime reading books and watching movies, shows that people have recommended that I haven't seen yet. Basically leveling up in as many forms of culture as I can.
I’m really good at
Riding my bike with no handlebars!
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair :) And that I often don't do things the normal way. I like experimenting with different ways of doing everyday, mundane tasks. I tell myself it is to find what is most efficient, but it is mostly from curiosity.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am getting back to reading after being too focused on the endless possibilities in college. But some favorites (off the top of my head) are The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Eyre Affair, The Princess Bride (the book is so much better (as is often the case)), Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy, Ender's Game, The Harry Potter series, and Asimov's robot stories.

As for movies, I most enjoy films that I feel give a full person to the characters (rather than simply being caricatures). My favorite films are films that are not as worried about an intricate plot as they are about letting us see the characters have fun and explore the world around them. So my favorites are Amelie, Annie Hall, most of Tarantino's films, Miyazaki films, movies by Wes Anderson, films by Spike Jonze, and a lot of Tim Burton's movies. It doesn't fit into this generalization, but Wreck-it-Ralph is towards the top of this list.
However I generally enjoy any film that I see as being really well put together. Whether it says something meaningful in a really succinct way, making really realistic and interesting characters, or is simply hitting the tone of its genre right, I enjoy seeing the result of a director knowing what he is doing. As such I have loved most of Christopher Nolan's films. I also enjoy all Pixar films (except for the Cars series which I still cannot accept as bing done by Pixar). I have really liked most of the Woody Allen movies I have seen. So I can enjoy movies in any genre, as long as they consistently and meaningfully live up to their goals.

I have a knack for liking tv shows that get canceled. However it will not happen with my favorite show until we get 6 SEASONS AND A MOVIE (if you recognize that reference, you know my favorite show). In addition to that one, I also love Firefly, Buffy, Star Trek:TOS, House of Cards, New Girl, Freaks and Geeks, Game of Thrones (now reading through the books), The Newsroom, How I Met Your Mother, Doctor Who (I have only really seen from the reboot and I don't count the most recent season as part of my favorite shows list), Red Dwarf, and Arrested Development.

For music, I am much more drawn by creative, well-formed, and/or fun lyrics. My pandora Super-Station (shuffle list) is drawn from No More Kings, Jonathan Coulton, Owl City, Garfunkel and Oates, The Axis of Awesome, The Postal Service, Paramore (specifically Only Exception), Lily Allen, and All-American Rejects (specifically Gives You Hell).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Pretty much everything. I am interested in virtually any subject when explored to a great enough depth.
