My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm not verbose.

Long-term plan: taking over the world.
It involves cookies. They are delicious.

Oh, and I have fabulous hair.

It's been about a year since I wrote the above. It still stands.
I feel like I should write more here, but I don't know what.

I guess the whole point is that I joined OkCupid to find other people who are more introverted than social, so a lesser ability to talk about oneself is expected from both parties.

I've decided I prefer polyamorous and/or open relationships after all. I can still do the regular kind, but that's not where my comfort zone lies.

I'm also a moral relativist and an anti-traditionalist. I believe that any values or customs, which I'm going to live my life by, have to stand on their own merits and usefulness to myself.

The last two paragraphs have been written because I'm currently not in the mood to pretend I'm something I'm not, just to get more matches/dates. If they make you not want to talk to me or date me, that's exactly the intended effect - you are most likely not someone I want to date.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Getting by.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Most things that can be solved by logic.
Computer programming (but hey, it's my job).
Some video games. Probably some boardgames too, come to think of it.
I'm also a little bit serious about playing pool.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People don't actually notice me. I'm the ninja of social situations.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Anathem by Neal Stephenson. I like others but this is one of the few books I would recommend to everyone.

Fight Club! Unlike Randall Munroe ( I believe it's still as relevant as always.

I like music. I can listen to pretty much anything. Left to my own devices, I gravitate towards alternative rock.

I like a whole lot of cuisines (Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Thai, Indian, others I can't think of right now...). Lately I've pretty much given up potatoes for health reasons.

Since I noticed that I appreciate this kind of information in other people's profiles:

Here is my favourite youtube series, Your Grammar Sucks by Jack Douglass (jacksfilms):

And here is what I listen to when I don't have any other ideas. I like about 80-90% of what they play:

This is my favourite webcomic: I think it's very under-appreciated, because I could never get any of my friends into it.

Here's another one which I follow and is probably easier to get into as it's not story-driven:

(If you were expecting me to link xkcd you already know about xkcd so just go to the site by yourself, you lazy person)

Also, I should not neglect my favorite fanfic: (now complete!)

And speaking of which, there are almost too many good things to read on this site:
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Air, gravity, water, food, sleep and an Internet connection.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Moose. They are pretty cool.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How about no.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You think there may be something interesting about me after all.
You're willing to meet in person for actual dating (in a reasonable period of time).

I'm an introvert and not-too-social person looking for someone with the same qualities, so if that sounds good, give it a try!

OkCupid tells me "22 people like you". They should have sent a freakin' message.
