I grew up in in NYC, moved to Pennsylvania with my family near the end of high school and then attended college in Philadelphia. After 5 years in Philly I knew I needed to come back to New York, so I moved back here for law school.
After all that schooling it's nice to finally be working, although I do miss being in school - there is really something special about learning about a wide breadth of topics (rather than the specialization in a single area that tends to happen with a job). I guess it fed my intellectual curiosity, but having a steady income creates a lot more resources for fun times.
I love music (although I'm much more of a fan than I am a musician). If I could, I would fill every minute of day with a soundtrack (even if it's just background music for whatever else is happening). One of my favorite things about music is how certain albums/songs/bands can fit any occasion or mood. I'm always on the lookout (listen-out?) for new bands to get hooked on (and inevitably listen to their entire discography).
I'm don't follow many sports, but I am a big hockey fan. I play in the rec leagues at Chelsea Piers. It is definitely the best way to exercise - I can't imagine any gym being as exciting. Watching is also fun but (given the Rangers' record these past few years) I think I enjoy playing more.
