I'm Chris and I'm coming to learn that I might always be "new" to London.

So a selection of things I like:

Pubs rather than clubs. Bad jokes. Offensive jokes. Scones. American beer. Walking. Sitcoms. Checked shirts. Not being clean shaven, ever. Football, but not in an 'oi oi!' kind of way.

Confession: I hate tea and coffee. I'm not all bad though.

I moved to London in September of last year to start a new job in digital advertising. It's been pretty fun but London working hours are about 50% longer than the ones I left behind in Norwich.

Other than that, I am just trying to get as much out of London as I can for the least amount of money.

Putting my foot in my mouth.

Chopping onions and my thumb.

Reading books really quickly and then having to read them again for the bits I missed.

Facial hair. I once walked in to a room and a guy immediately said 'Your beard is fantastic.' If I could find a girl that would have the same reaction I would make her my wife.

When I first wrote this it was huge. Summary:

Books: Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman and Stephen King - Sci-Fi and fantasy novels are my bag although right now I am flitting between We Need To Talk About Kevin and a book on his history of football tactics.

Movies: I love the cinema - only way to see a film. The ones I can always go back to are the Indiana Jones and the Back to the Future series.

TV - Lost, Fringe. Crappy U.S. sitcoms as well as the good ones (between Big Bang Theory and Arrested Development). Need to get back in to the swing of Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire.

Food - Anything BBQ'd. But I will try anything once.

Music - Blood Red Shoes and Kyla La Grange are on my Spotify a lot right now.

There is always time for bands like the Shins, Death Cab for Cutie and Bright Eyes in my life though.

I love live music. I saw Death Cab a while back and they blew me away. Gigs like that are the best.

I also absolutely love stand up comedy.

Whether London will end up being my thing. It has been so far, I think.

Relaxing with a pint of something. Or so burnt out by the week that I am in the foetal position in an alley somewhere.

Would be something you would have to ask personally.

The above didn't make you throw your phone at a wall or break your monitor in to a thousand pieces.

I figure if you've gotten this far (past the face, past the bad jokes, past the words sci fi and fantasy) then you probably think we might get along. Which is a good enough reason to.
