I am Goofy, Daft, and Frivolous.

My Self-Summary

Hmm.. where to start...
I'm 5'7, I have brown hair that is way too thick therefore I keep it short, and I have hazel eyes. I was born and raised in Saratoga Springs, NY and after graduating high school I moved out to Rochester to attend RIT, found out I didn't like engineering and moved on. I actually just got a job working for the state that I am extremely excited about. It's an entry level position but it puts my foot in the door so to speak and you can't beat the benefits.

I have two brothers and I just happen to be the middle one. It isn't fun and if you aren't a middle child then you don't know what I'm talking about. We (my brothers and I) never got along when we were little, I suppose that's typical of brothers close in age but I don't really know. Anyway, as time went on we matured and now my older brother has been a huge influence in my life and we live close by, so awesome!

I'm the only one in my family that is left handed, and because of this I grew up playing sports right-handed. I mention that only because I used to be good at baseball and basketball, then as I matured, my body didn't know which hand was dominant and bad times ensued =( I love sports by the way, I played Little League and bowled (I bowl left handed, ironically enough) on Sundays all throughout my youth. Through a chance encounter with a current NFL player I came to play football in high school. I loved it, and everything that came with it. NFL season is the greatest time of the year and the Superbowl should be made a national holiday.

I have a few extremely good friends that I am totally dedicated to. Communication between us might not always be frequent but I still would do most anything for them. I have a loyalty to them that really goes beyond reason.

I'm pretty much a dork, though as I said earlier, I do enjoy sports and anything outdoorsy, (camping is one of the best past times ever). But yeah, back to being a dork... I read a ridiculous amount. I once read a five hundred page book in seven hours. I also love games. Mainly video and computer games but board games are awesome as well. At RIT my roommate and I played Soul Calibur 3 so much we became insanely good at it. I grudgingly admit he's better than I am but I can frustrate the hell out of him from time to time. It's perhaps the only time we ever didn't like each other. I'm a sucker for RPG's. Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 7 are two of the best games ever made and I love going back and playing them.

I'm your typical nice guy and it's probably going to drive me insane sooner or later but for now I'm still sane. I'm very sarcastic and I deliver it pretty deadpan so if I say something that raises your eyebrows then I'm probably joking. Edit... I've actually been working on this because it seems to confuse people more than I thought and it makes me come off as scynical and depressed. Which might have been true at one point but not so much anymore.

Interesting fact about me: I use quotes in conversations all the time. I've watched my favorite movies, and shows so much that I throw them in all the time.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently working for the NYSDOH, it's an entry level position and I will slowly be working my way up once this stupid hiring freeze ends >< I'm also taking advantage of the system and I'm going back to school and finishing out my education.

I’m really good at

Video games, yeah, I know, really nerdy of me, but I calls em like I sees em.

I'm really good at reading if that can be considered a skill, I read novels at a ridiculous pace.

Listening, I'm a great soundboard, I'm sympathetic and I enjoy helping people.

The first things people usually notice about me

That's not a question I can really answer. I mean, I'm not other people noticing me and that's not a question I generally ask when I first meet people. I suppose people would notice that I don't talk much. I used to and I still do in an environment I feel comfortable around, but around new people, give me a bit to get comfortable than I'll open up a lot more.

snarkasaurus: When I was first told about chriseratops, I was told tales of people thinking he looked like Mario. Being the nintendo fangirl that I was.. of course I was excited to see a picture of him and meet him. I later found out he does not actually look like Mario =/

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Ahh.. books I love reading, I read constantly. I've read so many that it would be impossible to list them all. Watchers by Dean Koontz is, hands down, the best book I've read. After I begrudgingly read the first Harry Potter I was hooked, it truly is a great series. Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child have a great series. Edward Lee, Vince Flynn, Matthew Reilly, Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, Frank Miller, Steve Niles, Jeffrey Deaver, Trevanian, Mick Farrin, Steven Spruill, Christopher Golden, all awesome authors. Edit... I just read a book by David Baldacci called Absolute Truth. It was... pretty much amazing.

Movies.. love em. All kinds. The Dark Knight is tremendous. Possibly the best movie ever. (Hey, I'm allowed my opinions!) Princess Bride, Butterfly Effect, Pirates of the Caribbean, Boondock Saints, Equilibrium, Leon the Professional, Snatch, 300, Army of Darkness, The Fifth Element, Resident Evil, Fight Club, Love Actually, Anchorman, Underworld 1 and 2 Kill Bill, Dawn of the Dead, Reservoir Dogs, The Usual Suspects.

Music.. I've been on an emo kick as of late. Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Say Anything, Hush Sound. I like a lot of music though. Eagles, Sam Cooke, Beatles, Metallica, Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers, Phish, Grateful Dead, really, just about anything I'll listen to.

Food.. steak, potatoes (I'm Irish, see what I did there?), pasta, baked chicken, and I have a soft spot for ice cream, (especially in sandwich form)

I know it's not mentioned here but I feel it should, so I'm going to. TV Shows: Well first, and foremost Scrubs I'm not exaggerating when I say I've watched every episode at least 20 times. SPOILER: I still tear up when Ben dies though =/ I also really like Lost, South Park, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Hmmm also, Dexter, Fringe, True Blood =)

The six things I could never do without

1. Books 2. Computer 3. Contacts, I'm pretty blind. 4. My family 5. Food 6. Friends 7. The Dark Knight

I spend a lot of time thinking about

anything? whatever is in my mind at the moment is usually what I'm thinking about. It could be really meaningless or really deep, just depends on when you catch me daydreaming.

On a typical Friday night I am

Something. I don't go out that much anymore. I'd much rather spend a weekend camping than going out drinking. I generally stay home and watch movies or play games.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

So... one of my cousins is exactly one month younger than me. When she was born my parents got her a little baby dress and well, I have no sisters, and my mother always wanted a little girl (can you tell where this is headed yet?) and so, before she gave the dress to my cousin, she put it on me and proceeded to take picture of said event. I think she's saving that picture for maximum embarrassment.

You should message me if

You should message me if you want to. I may be socially inept in person when I first meet someone but I'm usually very open talking to someone on-line.
