Books: I admit I don't read a lot of books these days, when I was
commuting and in school it was a different story. I used to really
connect with Holden Caulfield but find myself more of a Gatsby or
Raul Duke now. I try and keep up with the Marvel universe and
ignore everything DC (no I really haven't seen Heath Ledger as The
Joker, please stop looking at me like that)
Movies: I make it a point to see bad low budget b squad cast
comedies in theatres so that the system doesn't completely rely on
Michael Bay blockbusters. I miss the feeling of suspense that
filmmakers created before there were special effects. I think SLC
Punk is the greatest love story of all time.
TV: Adult Swim taught me the meaning of postmodernism, in general I
prefer animation over live action, comedy over drama. I often
wonder why tv shows try to be so serious like I just can't get into
The Wire but that doesn't make me any less of a person...
Music: mostly ska and punk, I believe in the visceral community of
the circle pit. My not so guarded secret is a love for EMO music. I
listen to Taking Back Sunday while I run and relax to the whiny
tones of Saves The Day or The Get Up Kids.
Food: I live in SF of course I like food! I eat pretty
natural/healthy but not fanatic about it; rather I'm quite
susceptible to advertisements for the latest fast food abomination
just once. Give me a good taco or spicy tuna roll and I'll shut up.
