I'm doing many things with my life, so hold on to your metaphorical
hat whilst I describe them all in excruciating detail.
First and foremost, I write for one of the largest filmmaking
websites on the entire interwebs (and I get paid in honest-to-god
money). It's extremely challenging and rewarding work, and it comes
with the promise of plenty of shameless self-promotion.
I've also started writing for a startup print publication that's
all about the art and culture of Denver. The first issue hit the
shelves in January, so now I can brag about being published in
print. I'm just glad print media isn't a dying medium or anything
After several years of leaving music on the back burner as I
pursued filmmaking, I've come full circle, and am now working on
adding jazz to my repertoire. It's the most challenging subject
(musical or academic) that I've ever studied, but I'm extremely
driven to become an accomplished jazz musician (because jazz is the
language of the soul).
Also, I do some delivery driving to pay the bills, and I totally
make it rain (in singles and fivers). However, I'm looking to drop
my service industry jobs fairly soon to make a go at being a
freelance cinematographer and writer.
One day I might even finish my BFA in cinematography, but due to
circumstances beyond my control, that possibility looks more and
more grim every day. I do, however, have 4 years of college under
my belt, in case that sort of thing matters to you.
Lastly, I make films. I'm infatuated with cinematography and with
making subtle character-driven dramas. If you feel so inclined,
here's a link to my most recent cinematography reel:
So yeah, I'm doing lots of things with my life.
