My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just started moving into League City from Austin for a new job I landed, so I have a lot of updating to do on here! For the most part it all still applies to me though. I would really like to get to know people around here and meet any good tour guides because I don't know ANYONE here ;[

Hey everyone! I'm currently waiting to hear from medical schools for next year. I've completed degrees in Biology and Psychology. I'm a little odd in that I'm a weird mix of jock/nerd that I don't run into often. You're just as likely to find me out working out as you are playing computer games with friends. I like to use games as a means to keep in touch with my brother and friends who have moved out of the area. I really enjoy most outdoor activities like kayaking or frisbee out in Zilker park. I also go on trips for school to the middle of nowhere in the woods, mountains, or coast, and it is fantastic.

I'm always looking to meet more positive, exceptional people that can learn and laugh at life with me. I am a firm believer that no matter how tough things get, you can always find joy and humor to get through it. By definition, I am a major introvert. I still get out as much as I can stand, but I occasionally need to recharge at home base!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Here's the boring part right? I'm finishing both of my bachelor's degrees at Texas State, already applied to med schools, and am currently doing research for the biology department in the local river systems. I also work off and on as a licensed optician when I get free time. I never plan to stop learning, and can definitely see myself getting many different degrees and fellowships throughout my life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
--I have a really good memory, and am an information sponge (my classmates get irritated at how little I actually study). Other than that, I run for several miles multiple times a week as time permits, and love playing some word/strategy games. I can throw frisbees really far and play ultimate every so often with my friends

--Grabbing turtles and dropping them into my canoe to scare the crap out of people :D

--I can identify just about any bird in Texas by their sound alone! That'll come in handy someday for suuuuuure

--I'm also really good at playing around with kids. This is probably because I am acting like one half of the time hah.

--I am pretty accurate with a longbow, so that's a random fact about me. I would absolutely love someone to challenge me at archery ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I hate the "you tell me" answer... I guess my eyes and my height get attention in general, but I'm a "giant teddy bear" according to my friends!

I honestly don't have it in me to read for leisure, I'm pretty disgusted with books at the end of a long day of classes :/

As far as the others: I love comedy/horror/the combination of the two. I like SCARY movies, not gory movies. They don't gross me out, but they're usually devoid of any real content/creativity.

I think Always Sunny in Philadelphia is an amazing show that is horribly under-appreciated, and if you like anything similar such as Workaholics, Adventure Time, Futurama, South Park, and American Dad we will get along juuuuust fine! Oh, and my entire family is obsessed with Game of Thrones. I have been known to dabble in Anime.

My last meal would be an El Diablo burger from Hopdoddy with extra habanero peppers (I have a thing for spicy food.)

As far as music goes, somehow I have no real pattern or genre whatsoever! I have been caught at a red light jamming out to a Katy Perry song (oops..?), Mumford is all good by me, I like just about anything rock/alternative from escape the fate, atreyu, Metallica, etc. I also really like soul/blues style, classical, and those awkward uncategorized instrumental groups that pop up on pandora. I regret to inform the vast majority of you that I dislike country music. I don't have anything against it other than it tends to be very boring. I like any type of music that I can listen to repeatedly and focus on individual instruments, and country has only one: a singer essentially. Mindless strumming and the occasional boot stomp doesn't demonstrate the same complexity as a banjo, electric guitar, bass guitar, drummer, singer, and fiddle all working together harmoniously :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Avoiding the obvious answers like family:
1. 20-sided dice (oh yeah, I said it!)
2. My longbow. I like to practice archery.
3. Robots. My friends and I are tech geeks.
4. Food! I'm not saying out of necessity, but food is awesome!
5. My phone. Yeah I'm one of those people. I use it to listen to music, watch shows, etc.
6. Surprises (good and bad). Life would get boring :/
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What's for dinner! I LOVE noms, and a good meal tends to put me in a really good mood. Other than that, I have my face in a text book or am thinking about my research.

Sometimes I get lost in deep thought about random philosophical subjects for hours. I apparently look like I'm in a bad mood when I'm thinking really hard, but I'm definitely not :P

It makes me giggle when people put up group pics of themselves without pointing out which person they are, or have a picture of their dog/cat exclusively. I love my dogs and will probably love your pets too, but I am not a "man seeking dog for long-term."
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Pick one: Netflix + friends, gaming it up, out at a bar (not big on this one), playing capture the flag at the capitol, playing frisbee, catching up on sleep, makin' bacon pancakes, rolling natural 20's like a bawss, wandering out into the woods looking for a night hawk I heard, etc.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am incredibly awkward at social events, especially if it is at a club and dancing is involved :P. I am a professional wallflower!
I giggle like an idiot when I flip a dog's ears inside-out.
I am usually wearing 2 different-colored socks at any given time... how will you know?!

It is insane how many people misinterpret this question by the way. What are you WILLING to admit, not tell your deepest darkest secret to the internet. Be creative please, rather than use this as an excuse to skip an answer.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
First and foremost: if you know what my name is from without Google, then you're pretty awesome in my book!

Also, please submit your favorite dinosaur with your message. It is of the utmost importance that our dinosaur personalities match or things will never work.

Message me if:
-- You want to work out together
-- You want to watch random anime
-- You want to try out my bows
-- You think you can tickle my insane sense of humor
-- You feel like I'm somebody you'd like to meet
-- You want to go catch random critters or bird watching with me
-- You want to try joining my friends' weekly game night (expect to learn Pathfinder :3)

I already have more friends than I can even keep up with. On that note, I'm not really looking to make more unless you are exceptional! I'm mainly on here to find my next partner in crime! I like having one person I can do everything with. I want to be with someone that's not afraid to act like a total idiot with me! Oh yeah, and if the ladies on here would worry more about showing off their personality and less about showing off their cleavage, a guy like me would have a lot more respect for them... just a tip.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm generally not going to be attracted to people that are far over weight. It isn't even a matter of being shallow so much as it is a health concern and you wouldn't be able to handle the outdoor activities I'd want to do. I've been overweight before, I've lost over 80 pounds in the past couple of years, so it's not unfair :)

Thanks for completing the epic saga that is my profile. Luckily, women actually read.
