I am goofy, laid-back, and spontaneous.

My Self-Summary

Hi!

I'll admit now that I have a huge soft spot for goofy boys. Usually, if you can't make me laugh then nothing much else can be done.

I'm someone with plenty of energy! I love to draw and paint often, mostly comic-art or the human anatomy. It's a very big part of my life, and one day I would love to become an art teacher.

I watch movies... often. Especially horror/comedy. I'm not to big on romance films though. I watch plenty of comedy central and animal planet!

I read. Too much. Mostly David Quinn and Chuck Palaniuk, and yes I am super-excited about Choke the movie.

I've done plenty of outdoor sports including paintball, jetskiing, quading... I just don't have the equipment to enjoy them often. Ha.

I play video games, mostly rpgs, and even though I am horrible at Halo, it's fun to watch me flail hopelessly in my 5 second deaths and constant respawning.

That does NOT include World of Warcraft. Sorry.

I do not drink, smoke, or do drugs and I never will. I'm open minded though, and do not judge others. It's just a personal preference.

I will listen to any music. And I mean any. But I especially love jazz and my Modest Mouse.

What I’m doing with my life

I'll be attending school in January to begin my BA in fine arts and later secondary education. Art is what I am passionate about and I want to make it a permanent part of my life. As a teacher I believe I can positively influence older students to appreciate something that is a very large part of every culture.

Currently during my free time I am working on a webcomic. I don't expect to receive and real revenue from this but it's a fun way to spend the week nights! If you want, you can check it out at www.easiersaid.net

I'm trying not to make it too much of an advertisement, but the fact that I'm putting it up makes it such. Oh well. I think I can live with that.

I'm also a huge part of the downtown scene on First Fridays and I now do live art every month down at Space 55. My work has been hanging up a while, even though my goal is not to sell it. (I'm ridiculously attached to my paintings!)

I’m really good at

Conversation. If you want to have a good conversation, I can talk about anything. I'm not pushy about my own ideas and I'm a very good listener.

I also really love my artwork. And even if other people don't enjoy it or think it good (which has yet to be the case), it doesn't matter because it is for me.

Don't get me wrong. I don't do any crazy abstract or modern art. That's a little to heavy for me. Hahaha

The first things people usually notice about me

People usually immediately take notice to how short I am. I'm under 5 foot, and even if it is only by an inch, it's still pretty small.

I'm also very approachable, it seems. It's hard to be intimidating at this height. Ha!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Ishmael & The Story of B by David Quinn. Also, Haunted, Choke & Snuff by Chuck Palaniuk.

Movies?: Horror. Loved 28 days and 28 weeks later. Also on my good list: The Dark Knight, Wanted, Juno, and too many others to count.

Recently I've seen: District 9 (immediately a favorite), Inglorious Basterds (I want Tarantino to bless my children), and soon 9 (probably tonight. Maybe I can get someone to see this one with me...)

I've always loved going to the movies, and I don't consider going by yourself a bad thing. If you are dating a fellow movie goer, then it's a great idea. But if you want to take a new person to the movies on a first date and things seem quiet... that isn't the way to go.

If you want to get to know someone, don't do it by staring at a screen for 2 hours. Get some coffee or cheap food, sit down and TALK.

Trust me, it works.

(...or frozen yogurt. Good lord that stuff will be the death of me.)

The six things I could never do without

1. A drawing book: It's what I do most of the time.

2. Pencils: Can't really draw without them.

3. Human Interaction: I love people and I love to sketch them. I don't need constant approval of my existence, I just need someone to share my ideas with. Loners are full of themselves. Everyone needs someone.

______________________________

I honestly can't think of much more. I'll come up with another 3 eventually.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How to draw the panels of my comic.

and Music Videos.

Not in the sense that "Oh wow that music video was awsome!" I don't like music videos. But the idea of illustrating one to a meaningful song is so appealing to me, that the only reason I haven't done it is because I have no idea how to use animation software yet!

On a typical Friday night I am

Out downtown or watching movies. I'm a movie fanatic!

You should message me if

You find me interesting! But that's a given. How about...

DON'T MESSAGE ME IF:
All you are going to talk about is how bad you want to "bone" something. Be it me, your cousin, your dog, or that hot waitress at the 5 & diner. I think we are more intelligent than that.
