My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Who am I? I am a writer, I am a thinker.

What do I do? I dream, I sleep. I eat.

I am honest, often to a fault, and have a Henry Fondaesque movie character sense of honor. I can be an idealist, but that can cause as many problems as it solves. I can be a pragmatist and that doesn't get me forward as quickly as I want. I don't shy away from being complicated, but most of the time I can't find the complication in myself, and that can be a disappointment.

I like ideas. I don't dwell on form or the means of delivery. Intent, class, and dignity matter a million times more than my image.

I am an urbanist living in the Downtown area of Cincinnati and plan on growing old in the city, so if you are a fearful suburbanite, I think you may not like me.

Trust is important to me. I seek a woman I can trust. She is smart, honest, beautiful (especially if she doesn't think she is), open to new things, full of energy, curious, passionate, and kind.

I am smartish, cryptically witty, and sometimes wise
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have moved into the world of prose, but ever so slowly. Constructing characters is the stage my story is in, so the actual writing is in a slog. Previously I finished a draft of my second play, not sure what to make of it. I like the ideas it explores, but I don't know if I can make it work other than as a written piece. Is it worth writing a play just for print? We shall see.

Periodically writing a blog that lots of people used to read, but is loathed by many.

I went to a Guided By Voice concert a several years ago and was blown away. I wasn't that into the storied band, but I am now. I was disappointed with their show at Bunbury a couple years back, however, but festival shows are rarely amazing sets.

The rest of the time I work making Pension Plan Members safe from the retirement plan gremlins. Crunching lots and lots of data.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am good at finding a third answer to yes/no questions.

I am also very good at being cynical, without being too obvious about it. Except for...just then.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
He's shy (I'm not really that shy, once you get to know me.) He's Reserved. He's aloof. He's got pretty eyes.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no order:
1. Music
2. A means to communicate with the rest of society
3. Friends and Family
4. The occasional beer
5. Coffee
6. Pen and Paper (yes redundant with #2, but I don't care.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My writing, my friends, what the hell I am trying to do with my life and figuring out how to do it.

At other times I am thinking about world peace. Thankfully, those times are fictional and have little resemblance to reality.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out seeing a local band or play.

Drinking a beer or coffee or both.

I tend to hang out in OTR, Downtown, or Northside.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not much to speak about. I'm intense on one level, very laid back on other levels. My inner self resembles something akin to an onion. So, I suppose that means the more layers you peal off, the more I'll make you cry. That gets me far!
