My Self-Summary
I'm just checking this site out because it looks very interesting
compared to other dating sites. I've got a "live and let live"
philosophy and just generally try to be a good person. A friend
once told me, "you can get along with anybody." For the most part,
that's true - I'm tolerant of other's views so long as those views
aren't forced upon me (or others) or if such people rely on
rationalizations to support their views. Having said that, I'm
saddened by what seems to me to be a prevalent lack of civility and
common courtesy.
I tend to absorb information and think rather than blurt things out. This doesn't mean I don't like to converse or debate, but rather I'm thoughtful and like to have my ideas more fully developed. At the same time, I'm pretty good at making quick assessments when necessary.

What I’m doing with my life
I'm living it! I'm always looking to learn and experience new
things. Career wise (by which I don't define myself), I've got a
good steady job but am thinking of going out on my own and starting
my own business.

Cooking, slo-pitch, golf, keeping my mouth shut at appropriate
times.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm pretty quiet and independent. Although around friends and
family, usually that I'm looking to crack a joke.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I prefer classic literature. Some of my favourite books are Great
Expectations, Wuthering Heights and Watership Down. I prefer
comedies and action movies over horror and drama. Although it's
been a while, I enjoy live theatre or the symphony just as well. I
like all sorts of music but mostly rock and folk/bluegrass. I like
all sorts of food, particularly Ukrainian, Greek and Italian, but
nothing beats a really good burger.
The six things I could never do without
Air, food, water, clothing, tacos, turtles.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The present moment. I live in the now and don't dwell on the past
or try and get too ahead into the future. Oh, and turtles.
On a typical Friday night I am
