The general consensus from my friends is that I have been alone long enough. I have had fun, progressed my career, enjoyed my horses and my friends (not always in that order!) And at last I have woken up and realised that these things are even better when they are shared with someone who means something special.

I am educated and sharp witted, adoring lively conversation and humour. Reading is a love of mine, as is visiting art galleries and museums or days out visiting places. And driving.. enjoy long journeys! I also help out with a charity, organising events and sort of look after their website. Doesn't mean I can touch type though... :-)

I am a tactile caring person, loyal and devoted to my friends. Often struggling to ask for help for myself, but I get there in the end. Honesty and consistency matter to me, I like to know I can trust and rely on people.

I am an active person, especially with horses to look after. I recently took part in a 12 mile sponsored walk for charity (at midnight in Portsmouth - brave eh ?) I was so impressed with myself in preparing and actually finishing it - and in a reasonable time too! And looking forward to next year already, just don't want the bruised toes again :-(

I read all sorts .. loved "The Time Travellers Wife" but like adventure (Wilbur Smith, Clive Cusslar), sci-fi (Pratchett), comedy (Tom Sharp) and thrillers. I even enjoy a mind numbing bit of fluff if the moment takes me!

I listen to mainly Rock and guitar music.. from Metallica to Pink, to Paul Wellar and Motown

Chatting with friends or getting ready for a busy weekend

I'd love to spend time with someone who wanted to get on and do things. This doesn't have to be extreme sports and drinking themselves into oblivion.. although i am game ;-) but simple things like driving somewhere nice just to sit and chat - even in the rain, having a picnic on the living room carpet, going to see live bands and theatre or just deciding that day to surprise me simply because they can and want to..

As someone said.. don't waste your time on a fella who won't waste his time on you :-)
