My Self-Summary

Hiya, my name is Paulien and I'm rubbish at filling in forms.
I'm a first year psychology student at the university of Ghent. I read Psychology because I'm very interested in people, in their stories, in what makes 'em tick. I'm a good listener, but I'm quite shy with strangers.
I'm a person of contrasts: a dreamer with both feet on the ground, an (occasional) cynic with high ideals and an ol'-fashioned gal with some very modern ideas.

Ik ben Paulien, en heb absoluut geen idee wat ik hier allemaal moet schrijven, dus ik doe zomaar wat op en hoop dat het genoeg is.
Ik studeer in Gent psychologie, mijn eerste jaar nu. Ik ben veel met muziek bezig, op allerlei manieren: buiten luisteren naar bijna letterlijk elk genre, volg ik ook muziekschool: ik speel piano, harp en schrijf ook af en toe iets.
Ik ben een vrij verlegen persoon, maar als ik bij mensen ben die ik goed ken, kan ik een echte babbelaar zijn. Ik luister ook graag naar mensen en hun verhalen, dat is waarschijnlijk de reden dat ik psychologie volg :)

films/tv: Rome (de HBO serie), Carnivalé, Six Feet Under, Battlestar Galactica, Lost en Heroes, Desperate Housewives and nearly everything from Auntie Beeb, especially Doctor Who and Torchwood and anything Steven Moffat writes. comedy: Green Wing, Black Books, Coupling
more recently: Top Gear, Being Human

Music: I don't have one exclusive genre
Favourite Groups: Nine Inch Nails, Garbage, Hooverphonic, Muse, Placebo, Amon Tobin, Hybrid, Moloko

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I've got a thing for hands. Nothing kinky (though nothing wrong with a bit of kink ;) ) but it's just something I notice about people. I have this theory you can see what kind of a person someone is just by looking at his/her hands, but it has yet to be proven...

Ik heb iets met handen. Niets kinky of zo, het is gewoon iets dat mij opvalt aan mensen. Ik heb een theorie dat je kunt zien wat voor iemand is aan zijn/haar handen, maar dat moet nog bewezen worden... ;)
