a sensual, sexual, intelligent atheist, and compassionate
My self-summary Propose an edit
Intelligent,
sensuous, compassionate, and looking for same. I'm only interested
in a relationship in which communication is very honest, and open, a relationship
that exists only as an opportunity to be intimate in mind and
body. I'm very affectionate and sensual, and have a tendency to
adore my partner. I am NOT a partner for a sexually-restrained man.
I'm open to polyamory if the need arises, but I'm focused on
finding a primary partner.
I hope I'm not very materialistic, yet living in North America I
know I am using more than my share of world resources.
I am attracted to caring people, not to wealth or power. I've been
told I lack the survival instinct! I'm not competitive.
I'm looking for long term commitment, with someone who wants to be
in a close relationship that allows for the individuality of each
person.
I can't see how I could live with anyone but another atheist or maybe an
agnostic.
As for interests, we don't need to have the same interests at all,
and as long as your interests aren't focused on spectator sports,
hunting and fishing, or television watching, we can co-exist.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I've been trying for years to make it in a business too many people
want to be in: archival research. (No, really, I'm serious, it's
true.) I love the work, but there aren't enough clients to go
around. Can't retire, and fortunately don't want to. Other than
that I work on improving my health so I'll have a life.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
Forgiving.
Understanding people and their
motivations -- even the materialistic ones.
I can focus like crazy on things that interest me, but am hopeless
when I'm not interested.
Giving massage but
I'd really love to receive some too.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
Notice? I seem to be very ignorable, look like everyone else. When
people meet me, they often say I remind them of someone and they
wonder if they know me from somewhere.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
My taste in music is embarrassing for someone my age. I was far too
old to attend raves, but discovered a few years ago trance is my
favourite music. Classical, classic rock, some modern rock, world
music, ancient music, certain kinds of folk, and other. I'm quite
put off by country and by most pop.
Movies are something I've avoided all my life, whenever possible. I
still haven't got over the scene in which the child dies, in
Lawrence of Arabia. If it ever stops haunting me, maybe I'll try
another movie. Yes, I am impressionable.
I tend to read books for information and ideas; that's my idea of
entertainment. Non-fiction.
Food? I've been vegetarian for thirty five years.
Mostly cook at home for health and to please my own quirky tastes.
I no longer use food as a source of entertainment. On my deathbed,
I'll call for artichokes, avocados, and almonds.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
I had to remove the list of things I couldn't do without. I seem to
have learned to get by without any of the things and people I
thought I couldn't live without. Even my cat, the best roommate I
ever had, has died and I'm still here and doing fine.
Health matters.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
-- the future. I wish I could be here for another sixty years, to
see what happens next. I find it strange that we can look backward
in time for thousands of years, but almost not at all into the
future. It's unbearable to think that at some point, I will know my
curiosity about the future will get no further satisfaction. Being
mortal sucks.
But I DON'T spend a lot of time thinking about the precarious state
of the world. I have enough grief from my personal losses, without
thinking endlessly about our impending doom. However, if you have
any new advice as to what I can DO about the world, feel free to
email me with your suggestions.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
doing the same things I would be doing on a Sunday night or Monday
night. I don't enjoy following schedules. Friday evening, I might
just carry on working because whatever case I'm on is so
interesting. But if you're the right man, you would find it easy to
distract me.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I'm not a very private person. Lots of friends and acquaintances
already know more than they need to about me.
You should message me if Propose an edit
you're individualistic, and want to share thoughts in the night.
