Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Originally from NYC, I have been in the Bay Area long enough to
know where the decent bagel shops are in the area. I am an
energetic, intelligent, communicative guy with a good heart and a
sense of whimsy. Sensible and responsible, people find they usually
can depend on me. At 56 yr old, my youthful appearance, attitude
and energy fools a lot people (although in “dog years”, I suppose I
should be dead!), so for now, I think I’ll continue tossing those
AARP advertisements in the trash. Somewhat a romantic, I think that
“no reason” is often the best reason for flowers or some other
small gift or gesture.
As I value kindness, intelligence and good communication skills, I
hope to meet a woman who lives these qualities. A good sense of
humor is a plus but she should at least be able to put up with my
off-beat sense of humor. I relate best with women who are willing
to put as much into making a relationship work as I try to.
Romantic liaisons involve a little give and take and compromise,
but it shouldn’t always be the same person who makes concessions.
(That is surrender, not compromise.)
I enjoy the “usual suspects” that most do: movies, concerts, BBQs,
traveling, as well as others not listed. While not a marathon biker
or hiker, I do like to occasionally hop on the bicycle for a ride
around town or a walk along a trail. But if going to a party, fine
dining or a night in town is your speed, I am usually up for that
as well. Adept in the kitchen, I can be trusted with handling sharp
knives and hot surfaces without frantic calls to 911 or Poison
If you think you might be someone who is looking for a “grown-up”
relationship, but hasn’t lost that child-like sense of how to have
fun and laugh at life’s little ironies, is someone who is
well-balanced and (dare I say it?) “normal”, and would like to meet
someone similarly minded, feel free to drop me a reply. If the
“Internet Gods” are smiling on us, perhaps we’ll find each other.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I ask myself the three fundamental questions in life: "Who am I?",

I enjoy Carl Hiassen, Nelson DeMille, and a few others. I tend to
avoid movies where a guy is being disembowled with a Bic pen,
preferring comedies, drama, sci fi, etc. For music, I like jazz and
and some older rock and pop. I like all kinds of cuisines-- it
doesn't have to be cooked, but I insist that it at least be dead.
