My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Putting this account on hiatus - but I can't remember my password. Too busy with work. Might be back in a couple months.

I'm boundlessly creative and curious, and always learning. I'm more whimsical than serious, and more mercurial than stolid. Like Tigger, I'm prone to sudden enthusiasms, and am quick to express my affection for everyone around me. I have a tendency to put the needs of others ahead of my own. - That's going to get me into trouble one day, as the Six Fingered Man once opined. (Princess Bride reference)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work hard with my hands and my head, and am trying to re-balance and dedicate some "me" time for writing, romance, work out time and grown-up enjoyment...

I'll bet you haven't heard of my employer... oh wait, you have. That's me. When work gets slow, I get creative. And when it gets crazy, I get exhausted. Both phases are good, although when it's slow, I have more time to indulge you.
It can be challenging sometimes, but my boss is the greatest guy in the world, and no one ever takes credit for something I did or thought of.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am a craftsman, with the eye of an artist and the hands that can create the vision. Perhaps more to the point, my kisses will make you swoon.

I can keep an audience's attention sharing anecdotes, which are unique, astounding, and absolutely true.

I was a very good writer - I'm trying to get that back.

Addendum to that last one: I just reread my novel, and am gratified to find that it's actually really good. And having set it aside for several years, I can say that with at least a little bit of objectivity.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height
My eyes.
My lips.
My deep, rumbly voice. Someone once told me that she could feel my voice through her feet. Unless I was holding her, in which case she could feel it through her...

A wide variety of all five, as is often the case for those of us living in this age of miracles. And isn't it a miracle that I can make porridge with quinoa from south america, sprinkle Asian cinnamon, Caribbean brown sugar and frozen out-of-season blueberries on it, and listen to music written centuries ago on another continent while I eat it?

But a few specifics wouldn't hurt. I like SF, Fantasy, or any well written book on any science that the author was clearly passionate about.

I loved Galaxy Quest, City of Lost Children, Spirited Away, No Country for Old Men, Blade Runner, Akira Kurosawa films, for a representative cross-section.

My favorite TV series include Firefly, Dr Who, Nova, anything with David Attenborough, or anything that manages to be funny and intelligent at the same time. Unfortunately, a lot of the time, nothing qualifies, so I read instead.

Musically, I always come back to Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Tool, Tom Waits, The Pogues and Motorhead - despite the superfluous umlauts. But a hundred or more other bands or genres or performers have had, and will have again, my attention. If they're good at what they do, I probably like them.

Most well prepared food, with a leaning towards asian (food goes in here!) Not too heavy on the meat, but not really a
vegetarian. I've worked so hard, for so many years, in occasionally brutally cold winter conditions that, while I love and appreciate very good food, I also know that it's fuel. Unfortunately, I also know what it is to starve - an experience the average Canadian will never approach - so any food snobbery was burned out of me years ago.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Daughter
Intelligent conversation
meaningful work
the opportunity to give and receive happiness.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The jobs I have coming up, unfortunately, because I should be thinking about what I'm going to do for/to or with a special woman.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Catching up on invoicing.
In with friends, or out with friends. I rarely drink, but that doesn't mean I don't have fun. I'll just be the designated driver if I go out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My username isn't a reference to how many languages I speak... oh damn, I'm blushing. Thought I'd outgrown that phase.
